About this listen

This is a M/F/M romance with a tiny bit of M/M in the plot

A Beast Kindred who will not share a female
A Blood Kindred who feels the same
A woman forced to turn to both of them for help
Will Bron and Sorin learn to share Kayla?
Or will Sharing a Mate tear the three of them apart?

Dr. Kayla Smith is a strong, independent woman with several prestigious degrees in Xenobiology and Chemistry. She lives and works on the Mother Ship and shares a lab with her two best friends, Dr. Bron - a huge Beast Kindred who is also a decorated microbiologist and Dr. Sorin, a Blood Kindred and award-winning virologist. The three of them work and play together but Kayla is afraid to act on her feelings for either Kindred because she knows that picking one means losing the other.

Then comes the Great Needing.

When Xi-46, a virulent aphrodisiac, is introduced into the Kindred Mother Ship through the air vents, Kayla is one of the women affected. Her desperate need can only be slaked with the help of a male and she gets help from both of her friends. Afterwards, they expect her to choose between them...but Kayla can't - she loves them both.

Now they must go on a desperate mission to find the source of Xi-46 and try to create an antidote. But the further they go, the more Kayla realizes she needs both men in her life...and they need each other as well, though neither one wants to admit it.

Can Bron and Sorin learn to share a mate?
Can Kayla convince them that the three of them belong together?
Or will the horrors they suffer at the house of Mother Pain tear them apart?
LIsten to Sharing a Mate to find out...

Author's Note and WARNING:

There is a tiny bit of M/M action in this novel, which isn't usual for my Kindred menage books. My intentions in writing M/M in this the book wasn't to add gratuitous sex but rather to show a true three-way relationship in which all the characters love and respect each other equally. I hope you will enjoy it. There is plenty of M/F/M action too, which I think will make you happy if you like menage romance.

Poly relationship beautifully done

The author did a super job showing the characters relationship as being truly poly and not just a couple with an extra attachment. Everyone was equally invested.

A Blood AND a Beast Kindred?! Yes, Please!

I am totally listening to this series out of order, but that is ok. I love how Evangeline Anderson writes her books independent of each other, yet the core group of ladies she started the series with does make an appearance. So when they show up- it's like seeing old friends pop into the story. I really enjoyed this one. The 2 males are best friends and almost popular opposites in appearances and mannerisms, yet they are extremely in tune when it comes to Kayla. All 3 are expert scientist in their field of study- so they are like the A-Team of Research for the Kindred. Each had to face fears and prejudices against 2 males forming a triple relationship and sharing a female. It would be very hard to choose between a blood or a beast kindred. I cannot blame Kayla at all. Mackenzie Cartwright has narrated all the books I have listened to in the series thus far, and she does amazing work.

Wow

Great storyline. ms. Anderson comes up with some good tales of the kindred. So far I just read brides of the kindred but now I'm onto the side stories and I've got to say they are just as good or better since I don't have to worry about a big evil after the whole race.

Well done!

My heart broke for these three! Especially the one that was fully open and hurt. The development of the poly relationship, with various hangups and revelations on all sides, was very well done indeed.

Sharing a mate

This was one of the most unusual and beautiful that I have ever read. You made us go up and down over and over again. It was a exciting, moving and beautiful tale that rates one of the most wonderful without going all strange. Paranormal stories often get more alien than I care for. You make me see your books as old friends. I never!!! Turn in one of your boos. Thanks, to Evangeline Anderson.

Yay poly & gay love!

We all love being represented in media and this story has been the closest to representing my own life as a poly bisexual woman.

Although triads are not the majority in poly, it is wonderful to see this healthy representation, including the difficulties of having one.

Whereas in most of the series the characters ALL could have had it easier if they just effing communicated with the other, this story did not have that issue which is PARAMOUNT in any poly relationship.

Great job! 💜

What an imagination

Kayla, although being portrayed as such a shy and innocent female was a straight up freak. Interesting story and situation they found themselves in. There was some comedy; especially with Bron. Lots of graphic sex so for anyone that isn’t into this, it may make you blush. Narration was good as usual. On to the next book.
