About this listen

"He talks dirty to me, but I don't know his name. He wants to tie me up, but I don't know his face. He turns me on, but I couldn't point him out in a crowd. I've fallen for an anonymous stranger, and now the anonymity ends. I want more than typed secrets and texted promises. I want something reckless. Heat. Passion. The thrill of being entirely possessed. Because I suspect this anonymous stranger isn't a stranger at all."

Lizzy Thompson met Riverrat69 online through Something Real, a service promising to deliver meaningful relationships by forbidding its users to share names or photos until they've reached a certain benchmark. She was looking for love. He was researching an investment. They hit it off. Talked and flirted, hid behind screen names and cartoon avatars. Now they're breaking the rules and meeting in person.

But Liz is prepared. She's picked up hints and followed clues. She's 90 percent convinced she's discovered the identity of her dirty-talking online friend. She wonders if her ex-lover, Sam Bradshaw, knows her identity, too. When she rolls the dice on one reckless night, her chance at something real could crumble.

Jerry springer

What did you love best about Something Reckless?

I only gave this story 3 stars for the simple fact that the drama was over the top. The story sucked me in but more like how a trashy talk show drags you under and holds you there.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

W.t.f. cliffhanger.

Which scene was your favorite?

I'm not sure if I even had a favorite scene, that's not completely true, any scene where Sam and Liz were actually together and happy, though far and few between were the best.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Move over real housewives

Any additional comments?

This book kept my interest, I won't lie. It wasn't hard to come to the right conclusions, but little snags did make me question them and I couldn't put it down until I was sure. Really, I can't wait for the sequel to see how it all plays out. It was full of drama and had its tender moments. It just was hard to imagine how one girl could become so tangled that it almost borders on ridiculous.

Love when characters sound like I expect

Where does Something Reckless rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is in my top 10 of audiobooks I have listened to.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that things we're easy in this "I love my friend's older brother" romance. It was a multifaceted story with twists along multi year time line.

What does Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love the inflection that both narrators used. Also, I liked the fact that they sounded the age of the characters.

Any additional comments?

Thanks for adding the novella to the beginning!

Not what I thought it would be.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

If you like whinny girls who get themselves in trouble because they don't think. The heroine Liz, just can't keep her mouth or legs shut. All the problems are of her own making. And instead of getting herself out of trouble she whines because she can't have the man she lust after.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not sure. Kind of still mad over this story. No conclusion. Feel cheated.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I liked the performers, I mean they tried the best they could given the story.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The sex scenes were steamy, however. Good god this girl couldn't talk about anything else beside her vagina.

Any additional comments?

I have read this author before. I just can't get over how whinny Liz was. And how all of her problems could have been solved by not opening her mouth or legs

Lot"s of Sex, Little Heart

The characters are attractive but shallow. The heroine is desired by many. She and her choice of hero come together several times to just fall apart as per the romance formula. The story though weak does have a twist at end that lifts it a little above average.

this book is awful

the only reason why I purchased this book is because all the reviews said it had a lot of sex talk in it
well it does but it's not the good kind
it's actually very lame and boring
there's no hyping it up before sex or anything.amd the story itself just drags on and on and it's so so boring
ughh
don't waste your credit
I promise you it's bad
