About this listen

Cutlas Estates started as an idea in Milo Jackson’s head after he inherited land. He and his bonded husband Olds put up a B&B and began offering the rest of their private land to shifters to settle on. Milo's dream: build a safe and open shifter community. These are books three and four telling the stories of two couples as told one evening at a party at Chance and Liam’s house.

Star Crossed: Nico catches Young trying to forage some food out of a garbage bin in New York one day and they begin to make a life together. When they find an old beaten up guitar on the street, Nico is reminded that he once played musical instruments and could possibly fix this one up enough to play for loose change. A few months later and Nico is on his way to becoming a local rock musician. A band needs his talents. The only problem is that the very day he leaves Young on his own, Young disappears without a trace. Nico looks everywhere but never finds him. His band becomes noticed, recognized and even gets scheduled to tour the Midwest. As their record is popular in Japan and Europe, they might even get a tour out of that.

A year or so later and Nico stumbles over the foot of a man sleeping in a doorway on the way to a photo shoot in Brooklyn. That foot belongs to Young. While Nico thinks his world is golden when he finds Young again, Young is afraid of everything, especially of bringing Nico down to his level. He survived what happened to him, but he was so traumatized he can’t deal with crowds or any of the things Nico loves and are a part of his life now. If that wasn’t enough to keep them apart, Nico’s new band management leads Young directly into the same nightmare he’d escaped from. Does “it” really make you stronger or is that just a pipe dream? Young and Nico are both about to find out.

Concurrent Chic:
Maze and Eli meet at that favorite shifter meeting spot, Lakeview Lodge, but they have a few things to work out, including who’s on top. One might be an alpha and the other an omega but they both like the tables turned, and turned back again. While these two entrepreneurs are slotted in their own separate businesses, they’re not exactly set up to work with partners and they’re going to have to learn to if they want to end up together.

Maze has some deep seated relationship problems to overcome, and maybe some professional ones too, while Eli needs to get forced out of his rut. He loves living in his rut way too much. Right after they try living together, when they’re offered the chance at taking a child in as temporary guardians, they have to ask themselves, does either of them even want children? Maze works at a shelter as a volunteer, but it’s Eli’s stability that provides the answer. This time around, and being a temporary family does bring them closer . . . for a moment. They’re looking so together. And then on a romantic night out, Maze discovers he’s not the right man for Eli. The upheaval of their new relationship only makes them have to fight harder. Are they up for the challenge?

Mature themes.
