About this listen

When it comes to women, I know what they want. And all day long, I give it to them. Dark, broody, and sexy? You got it. Need to laugh? I'm your guy. Desperate for something to put you in the mood? You've come to the right place, kitten.

Every morning when my library opens, there's a line around the block, the ladies flocking to me in need of their next book boyfriend. I'm that dude. The one who knows his way around the romance section. And if you think that hasn't gotten me plenty of action over the years, you'd be wrong.

But I made a slight miscalculation at work, and now my reputation has my job in danger. If I can't prove to my boss that I'm more than a playboy who recommends romance in the hopes of getting some hanky panky in the stacks, I'm headed for the unemployment line.

Enter Parker Elliott. She rocks a mean guitar, she has no idea how sexy she is, and she's in need of a temporary fake boyfriend. Best of all? She doesn't have a library card. I couldn't have found a better fake fiancee if I'd written her myself.

Contains mature themes.

Female narrator blew this for me

When I read this book last year I thought Parker and Knox were the best of Pippa Grant's couples. Reading it the story is fun and laughable to tears but the female narrator ruined this book. Every word was high pitched like at a climax which was annoying and hard to follow the story. I couldn't even finish which is really too bad because the story is cute and funny. Stick with the kindle version.

Worst of the Pippa Listens

I enjoy this author’s work in general. I think had I read this instead of listened, I would have enjoyed this much more. I found the female narrator to be one of the most irritating voices I have heard in a long while. The story is great. The narrator not so much.

Female narrator almost killed the book.

A romance book about books with a stud and a crazy heroine is almost the perfect recipe. But the female narrator was so bad I actually skipped her chapters on audio and only read them on Kindle. Joe Arden saves it for the audio because well he's just perfect. The recommendations are awesome too. Going to read them next.

Cute!

Definitely have to agree with many others that the female narrator really ruined the story. Not much nuance in the voice or other characters voices and everything was very screechy. But loved the story.

This was so much fun

So great 100/100 I had so much fun and it was so meta-haha but really I may be attached now to our two protagonist who are such nerds. Also, the narrators did a really great job.
This was so much fun

Knox just any stud 😉

See what I did there? Pippa always has quick whit, fun pun and makes me laugh so hard I cry.
Loved this story and always love listening to Joe Arden. Unfortunately I really wish that they would have use a different female narrator.

Cute rom com from the girl band series

Cute story with a lot of extra characters that may get their on stories. This one is about Parker Elliot, a Vice President of an organic food company Who has a self confidence problem. She becomes involved this Knox, the librarian. Joe Ardan’s narration was great but Karen White’s was not very good, especially with the male voices. Cute story for the Escape Package but not worth a credit.

Hot and Hilarious

I loved this incredibly hot and funny romance!! I have Never read such an amazing, well written book. This is my Favorite romcom ❤️💕
Parker Elliott is VP at her organic job. She needs a fake boyfriend for her high school reunion.
Knox is a sexy librarian and he loves romance novels.
They meet up at an auction and then that’s when all the fun begins!
Omg! I laughed out loud, the story line was awesome and hot and so funny! “Parker, Parker Elliot” is how Knox says her name! 😀.
I see his character as a hero! He is compassionate and funny and sexy 🔥
Parker is an independent working woman. She is beautiful and talented.
This is a fast paced well paced storyline with lots of heat and humor .
I cracked up when Parker would say such funny things about her sexual feelings, “Ilustricity” electrical lust! Lol 😆 “my chacha”
The Narrators did an amazing job as Parker and Knox ❤️🔥.
I Highly recommend this book!! I am definitely reading more of Pippa Grant 💕♥️

I couldn’t finish it

I don’t know if this turned out to be a good story or not. I got so irritated with it that I had to stop listening. The story seemed like it was trying too hard to be funny and lost the true storyline. I got confused as to when Parker was actually talking or when it was just her thoughts. Maybe it was the female narrator that ruined it for me, or a bit of both. Ugh!
