About this listen

Love is the sweetest venom.

Lawrence: I told her I wanted her body and not her love. I lied.

Ronan: I fell in love with a lie.... She was beauty and destruction.

Kissing her was a tender song. Owning her body, a wild poem. Loving her, my downfall. But she was mine. Or so I thought.

Blaire: One man offered me his love. The other, the world.

I'm falling, falling, falling.... And there's no end in sight.

She did it again!

This book. Wow. I thought the first one was amazing. But my goodness the second one, wow. I finished this book in a day and a half while at my office. Some parts, I had to pause because of all the emotions. Amazing. Please give us more Mia!

I'm exhausted. What an emotional rollercoaster!

First off, I hated Jeremy York narrating this. He's got such a feminine voice and it was hard to get past. I did though. So I only have the performance 3 stars. The female narrator was good. I wish the writer would've just used her alone again. I just couldn't stomach Jeremy's voice. I hate anything he narrates.

Second, this duo (easy virtue and sweetest venom) were a whirlwind of a story. I am emotionally exhausted from all that happened...left feeling a bit sad overall. Lots of sadness. I wanted to slap Blaire so many times throughout the book, but you still can't help but want at least SOMEONE to have a happy ending, but getting to that point was beyond exhausting.

I didn't stop reading this for 14+ hours, it was addicting. Mia is a phenomenal writer, i dont think i cringed once from things being corny, everything written was so well executed, the story, the passion, the steam, the chemistry, the sex, hot hot hot. the heroine was strong and confident and I loved her character (besides the times I wanted to slap her of course). And both Ronan and Lawrence couldn't have been any more perfect. i felt like I was a part of the entire story, both books.

Seriously, although I'm exhausted and emotionally spent, I loved these books!

So much angst!

Wasn't sure how this would turn out until the very end. A bit frustrating at times but worth all the drama.

Plot twist

I was yelling & talking through this book like I was watching a movie. So many twist and turns. The ending had me worried and thr epilogue was too abrupt but overall i loved this book. Suffering from a serious case of anxiety over the plot though hahaha

No Spoilers, just a warning...tissues required.

I am a devoted audible member who is constantly listening to book after book, it takes a very well developed story to catch me off guard so to speak. I out right cried a few times during this one....a very unusual occurrence, it felt awesome to finally be drawn so far into the characters that my emotions got the best of me. Well written and worth the time, highly recommended, but ONLY if you read Virtue Book One first.

This book made me cry <3

I have listened to a lot of books in the recent past. This is the first one that has made me cry. The story was not at all your run of the mill romance.

Best book I’ve read/heard in years!

Loved this book! Even better than book 1! I’ve been looking for a series to fall in love with and it was this one!

Heartbreaking and beautiful story. Great characters.

I didn’t like the narration, the female is artificial. The male is acceptable but somehow not the best for the characters he portrays.

The story is good. The characters are strong and loveable. My heart was broken, because I got to love them and understand them. I don’t know what I would have chosen but somehow I wished for a happier ending. Unfortunately, like in life, some things heal but they don’t mend and some choices hurt forever. Before I finished book 2, I had planned to read both books again and again, because they are well written but I am not sure I will be able to, knowing it will hurt. I will definitely look for the author’s other works.

BLAIRE GETS A TASTE OF HER OWN MEDICINE

The book starts off exactly where Easy Virtue leaves off, except from Ronan's POV as Blaire and Lawrence walk out of her apartment building.

Blaire crushed Ronan's heart in Easy Virtue. In this book Blaire finds out, from Ronan, just how bitter her own medicine is. Lawrence also does a 360. We find out more about Ronan's sister and her people connections.

Blaire, Ronan and Lawrence each find themselves going thru self discovery. I went thru a gamut of emotions with all three but my eyes watered up for Lawrence. I hurt the most for him. I also wanted to slap Ronan's sister in the face.

I hung on every word and couldn't stop listening. I would get irritated if I was interrupted.

Lucy Rivers and Jeremy York gave a gripping, emotional and all consuming performance.

Absolutely worth a credit.
