About this listen

I just wanted to keep the family farm going, till the land of my ancestors, and do right by my parents' memory.

And then the adventurers came. They said they were going to help clear out the "monsters" on my land, but instead, they slept in my bed, ate my food, and worst of all . . .

They broke my mother's prized pot.

Now, I'm going to take my farm back and protect what's mine, and there's only one way to do it.

I'm going to make my farm into the most dangerous dungeon in the land.

Contains mature themes.

Why two narrators?

Why have two narrators if you don't use them for different voices. Sex scenes are weak. "OMG YOU ARE SO GOOD!" is basically how it goes.

good story, sad narrator choice.

while the book is fun and campy, and after reading it I wanted to be able to listen when I was doing things.... I am very sad they skimped on only one narrator. He does great narration and the main character is fun to hear banter, but when love interests come in and they are having more adult themed scenes his horrible female voice makes my skin crawl and my head hurt.

What’s the point of 2 narrator

As I’m sure you have seen their is pointlessly 2 narrators. The story is fun everything is great, just don’t know why 2 narrators.

sexy time

Story was interesting. The banter got old. Sex was unnecessary and forced. Narration was done well but actors split chapters and read both male and female instead focusing on one gender.

I absolutely loved it, but...

I absolutely loved this book it had nearly everything I like the only thing I can think of is the way narrators read the story. It should have been a real duo narrators it would have sounded much better if all the female parts was read with the male. I would suggest that you have the narrators do that for your future books.

Team grumpy farmer!

I loved this book, it kept me glued to it and so focused that work just flew right by. if you're into dungeons and dragons, you might enjoy this story. not a lot of naughty scenes, but it got me hooked enough to get book 2 when my next credit comes!

Good Story

I love the beginning and end on how the play it as a retelling of the M.C's origin and how it adds context, originality, and adds depth to the story. The fight scenes are nicely done along with pacing of the rest of the story. The voice acting was ok, at times he messed up which voice went with what character, or changed between at inopetun times. Overall a good Book and a good start to this series.

Made it to the wolf-girl and I’m done.

First off is it me or does the male narrator sound very similar to Tom Hanks or at least give off Tom Hanks vibes?

With that out-of-the-way, I’d like to say that the prologue and the first few chapters were actually pretty interesting and really funny . I thought that this was going to be one of those coming into power kind of books. You know, a progressive power fantasy of some sort. When I saw that there was a mature theme warning, I figured it was gonna be more blood and violence instead however it was more erotica than thought it would be. Yes I saw the cover and I knew there would be some but honestly, I don’t think I can make it past adding the wolf girl into the mix (End of chapter 15). My problem is the main character literally just got done being thrown around during a fight with four adventurers, and chimeric fusion of two of them, and instantly goes into a sex scene with girl number two as if nothing happened. At least, with the first one, he addressed the fact that he fought and killed the previous troll chief and was left wounded and in pain before they got it on. I honestly feel kind of bad for the narrator having to read and narrate these scenes while trying to be “professional”.

Also, on a sidenote, I don’t understand the need for a second narrator. I mean sure I’m leaving at chapter 16 and won’t finish the book but I don’t really see the point. Maybe if they would’ve had her be all the female characters and him play all the male characters then it would be OK… sadly this series just isn’t for me.
