About this listen

Englishwoman Grace Ellington has made a home in Scotland, but to escape from the meddling people around her who seem to think she needs to wed right away - because women need saving, right - she volunteers to journey north to aid a friend in childbirth.

Keir MacKinnon, the younger brother of the MacKinnon clan chief, has been raised to strike fear in people, on and off the battlefield. Trained to uphold MacKinnon law, he has hardened into a lethal warrior. Caught in a Highland blizzard with the feisty Grace, Keir realizes the beautiful woman who saved him can also save his nephew's life. Sparks fly when he takes her against her will to his home, and Grace's courage is put to the ultimate test.

Is Keir MacKinnon the passionate, kind man she saved in the Highland blizzard, or is he truly the cruel executioner who seeks to solve all issues by the sword?

Contains mature themes.

Excellent!

Love the rich characters…. I’d been hoping for Grace’s story as I read the series and was so glad to finally hear it…. What next…. Dara and Brock? 😁

Well done!

I enjoyed this book better than I expected. I especially loved Tim Campbell’s narration. His voice may be the reason. Seriously, though, The Devil is bada$$ and cuddly all at once. If it wasn’t for all of the murder, he would be perfect.

Tall dark and devil... just the right mix

Steamy story of a warrior who never thought he could be anything other than a killing machine... (they didn't even have machines back then!) Tempted by the daring Grace, their chemistry grows in a steamy way. She is no timid woman, knows exactly what she wants. Is he ruthless or passionate? Oh, it's worth finding out!

good story line and the narration was wonderful. nothing like a deep voice with an accent to make you feel like your part of the story

Darker

A bit darker than the other three but very good. Grace is one of the best characters ever. It was so fun to watch her transition from scared mouse (book 1) to warrior princess (this book).

Kier is one of the most tragic figures ever. Highly recommend, not just this story, but the entire series.

Tim Campbell is terrific!
