About this listen

With three degrees and the highest measured IQ in the Motherlands, Shelly Summers knows that she's socially awkward. It doesn't bother her since as the head engineer for Advances Technologies she has little time for social interactions anyway.

When she learns that one of the testers for the sex-bots her company manufactures is her old crush, Marco, she's curious to see if he'll recognize her now that she's 10 years older and no longer has bushy eyebrows and a bad case of acne.

A normal person would have said something when Marco doesn't recognize her from his past. A normal person would definitely have said something when he mistakes her for an advanced sex robot and thinks his job is to do a test run.

Things are about to get very awkward for this genius....

Contains mature themes.

favorite

This is truly my favorite so far of the younger generation. Shelley is the best motlander with her brains and humor. Marco is the hottest Nman with his calm and no nonsense approach. the sex bot scene was hilarious and sweet all at once. would absolutely recommend reading on in the series to see how the next set of relationships turn out in this world.

Still loving the series

Each time I read another one of the books in the series they become my favorite. Needless to say Elin Peer did a great job with the characters throughout so far. This one has Shelley and Marcus coming together finally. Marcus was Shelly's childhood/mentor/genius crush and he was never aware of it. Now she is all grown up and he no longer sees the nerdy genius that he saw 10 years ago when they were Mentors together. There story unfolds nicely and you will for sure lol.

Get real this is why woman have problems now!

I mean get real this book was about a woman who wanted her childhood crush and the first thing she does is have sex and let put his di**** in her mouth, and gave him everything he wanted but nothing for herself. This is why woman have problems now, with some woman telling men they will be submissive and be his sex robot without saying no. It’s like he just shit on her and she was told to like. I think the author needs to think about her role as a woman and how woman men or maybe she is just mimicking how she was treated. I think this author needs help because she doesn’t understand a woman’s needs and it’s not to run back to oppression on your knees.

This series isn't losing any steam

I literally enjoy each and every book in this series and I'm getting somewhat sad as I get through and realize it's coming to an end.

Might be a roll your eyes type of story. But…

It’s funny. Can’t help finding the Men of the North the most endearing, lovable manly men ever!!!! When I started this series i recall thinking why am I reading this nonsense. I will say now with all certainty, there is alot to learn from nonsense. Here there are men that have little hope of ever knowing a female. And the Motlander women ever knowing what romance is. Both cultures boast freedoms of a sort and refuse to admit the limitations. Sexbots, creepy right? But they are important and necessary for both cultures. I love that Shelly, a genius, takes sexbots serious and relevant to the lives of Nmen. Marcus is a smart, open-minded Nman that is so perfect for Shelly. I’ve read the whole series a couple times because it’s very entertaining, silly and huggable. The characters in both cultures have learned to be very tolerant and respectful. There are no Haters here. That is always a good thing.

A bit slow

This book lost my attention several times; not as good as previous books. Started strong but deflated after a while. The storyline similar to previous books. A bit boring half way through. Narrators did a great job.

Oh..My..Gosh... Y'ALL

I am in love with this series so far. Each story is amazing and keeps you on the edge your seat. It's a crying, nail biting good listen. These books do leave you a little emotionally drained afterward but in the best way. I love how the whole story builds as they make their way through each couple. I'm also a big fan of the author keeping the "next gen" as part of the same series and not a spin off, it flows well.

I highly recommend, and as someone who is very passionate about what society is doing to men these day (taking away their masculinity), these books spoke to me. My husband likes to say I like being angry but I just like debating and these books get those juices flowing for me. I can see some of these things happening in our future, though I truly hope they dont. I like men to be manly and strong, if you feel the same, these books are for you.
