Publisher's summary

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author S. E. Smith comes an action-adventure and suspense-filled story to transport listeners out of this world.

Jasmine "Tinker" Bell has always had a love for life, looking forward to any new adventure that happens to come along. When a friend's experiment creates a portal to another world, she finds herself swept into a faraway star system she thought only existed in the movies.

J'kar 'Tag Krell Manok had given up hope of ever finding his bond mate. He is surprised when a pint-sized female unlike anything he has ever seen suddenly appears on his spaceship to save the life of his brother during an attack. When she is suddenly taken from him, he will do anything to get her back and claim her.

Two different worlds collide when Tink, a mechanic in a small college town, meets J'kar, a Prime warrior from a far-off galaxy. When Tink's life is in danger, only J'kar can save her. Now Tink has to decide if she is willing to give up everything she has ever known and loved to stay with the alien she has fallen in love with. Will their worlds survive the collision, or will they be torn apart?

Great series starter!

This audiobook was entertaining and moved along at a fast pace. The characters were very engaging and memorable. The heroine, “Think” to her friends, is a small vivacious little blonde spitfire who accidentally stumbled through a space portal her friend Cosmos has been tinkering with. Arriving amidst a battle, she uses her hammer to hit a huge lizard alien in the head, killing him. The next thing she knows she’s in front of a man who takes her breath away and something happens to toe them together as mates. The society created by the author is original. The best part of this story for me is when Tink tries to describe oral sex to the naive warriors on the ship. I really had to laugh. Narration was very well done, but a male voice might have added a little.m

Slightly different approach

I liked the idea of a portal instead of invasion. It seemed fairly well written. This narrator is a good one. Easy to listen to with few, if any, mistakes.

A Fun Listening Experience

If you are a fan of S. E. Smith's Dragon Lords of Valdier series, you are going to love TINK'S NEVERLAND and the Cosmos' Gateway series! The plot line is somewhat similar, but with a new world and a very real hunky alien man (not a dragon).

Ms. Smith's books are so much fun to listen to on Audible. Her characters are strong and feisty with an adorable soft side as well. And they are hot. I mean, really, really HOT. Another book that is not for the kiddies. This one is very adult, but with a lot of humor. I mean, a LOT of humor. I couldn't help smiling as I listened.

The story was a bit slow to start, with a lot of background being brought out, but once the story got going, I could not put it down! Loved all the Sci-Fi stuff, especially RITA. There was a bit of a cliffhanger, or unfinished business, but that's okay. It was a truly fun book to listen to. Can't wait to read more in this series!

Loved the story but...

I loved this story but the narrator? Not so much. Her monotone, nearly emotionless reading nearly put me to sleep. #Funny #Mindbending #Violent

Loved it!

Loved it! I love to read/listen to S.E.Smith books. I started off with the audio version first. But I had to go to work and couldn't wait to get back to this story. So I HAD to get the ebook to read it. Tink's Neverland is the first book in a new series Cosmos' Gateway. This story is about J'kar and Tink. Boy did this have it all from action, suspense, drama, hot yummy loving, laugh out loud moments. I can't wait to see what happens next! I loved Tink's visual of oral with J'kars' warriors. LOL!!! She is a spitfire. J'kar will have his hands full. Keep up the great job! I recommend this story. A good quick read. I think Suzanne Elise Freeman did a wonderful job with their voices.

Terrific story, the narrator...not so much

I've read and listened to Tink's Neverland several times, it's so cute and funny and sexy. The characters are real people, and when Jakar and Tink fall in love, it's enchanting. Things get pretty hot between them! Tink is one of a kind, used to being everybody's little darling. She doesn't take any guff from Mr High and Mighty Jakar.
The down side? The narrator has a kind of lisp, creating a hiss on every "s". And, while her characterization of Tink is lively, others are robotic. Or zombie-like, with no inflection whatsoever. I couldn't do that even if I tried. Anyway, I hate to be mean but in all honesty, she was awful. If you don't mind listening to her, they story is a good one.
