About this listen

Nick Kaplan and Aidan Blake are experienced secret agents, stars of MI-5...or they were until they moved in together and became lovers all in one fell swoop. Now, before they have a chance to work out what's happening between them, they face their hardest test yet: keeping their hands off each other when they go undercover as strangers.

Someone is selling deadly secrets to Great Britain's enemies, and a terrible chemical weapon is about to fall into the wrong hands. Nick and Aidan are ordered to the scene of the crime - a government lab - to track down the traitor. Faced with the prospect of a long stay in a remote northern corner of England, Nick offers Aidan a bet: Whoever breaks their self-imposed celibacy first by instigating sex will pay the price when they return to London. It's all fun and games until they actually have to tough it out. If they can't make this work, all of Great Britain could be at risk, but neither of them can think clearly when they have to be apart.

For Queen & Country, the newest series by author Jade Cain, combines intrigue, action, sex, and humor with two unforgettable (and sometimes irresponsible) British spies, Nick Kaplan and Aidan Blake.

Short and satisfying

I enjoyed this shortie!

Undercover Games tells the story of two secret agents who are also (already) lovers and have an assignment that demands that they not ‘touch’ each other. Let me tell ya. That was tough because Nick and Aidan are sweet and sexy. Their relationship is still new – 6 months – and they are still trying to figure out things. Their passion is strong so 1 month of not touching would be a challenge.

So they agreed on this challenge. Whoever caved in first would win the bet and get his wish met. This proved to be very entertaining as they also tried to solve the mystery of who was selling secrets to Britain’s enemies. The mystery made me curious but there wasn’t a lot of tension there.

Solid storyline. Good premise. Loveable characters. Nice tension between the guys. And very HAWT!

The narrator also deserves to be mentioned. I liked how he gave the guys two distinct voices/sounds. You couldn’t confuse them. He made Nick sound like the tougher one and Aidan, the gentler one. I liked that. Their voices matched the characters they portrayed. Nice job, Mr. Stephens.

Very British. Recommended. A solid 4 stars. Can’t wait to read more about these guys. Their passion is palpable.
