Publisher's summary

For Barrett Cassidy, playing defense for the Tampa Hawks is a dream come true. And now he may have discovered his dream woman.

Harmony Evans, once the sweet, gawky teenage sister of his best friend and teammate, has grown into a smart, gorgeous woman with moves he finds hard to resist. But he knows he can't get involved with his best friend's sister - it's guy code.

Harmony has always gone after what she wants with single-minded determination, from her independence to her education to her career in interior design. She never expected her youthful crush on Barrett to develop into something deeper. And she's not about to let some ridiculous man rules or her brother stand in her way.

When the chemistry is this combustible, lines tend to get crossed. And when Barrett and Harmony's secret gets out, it just might be game over....

Contains mature themes.

TOUCHDOWN

Cute story with lots of romance. Loved the two lead characters. I love happy endings. And plenty of sex.

Liked it.

Wasn't my favorite and Harmony was a little to winey for me. She couldn't stop and put her self in his position for 1 min. Other than that..I loved it. traditional love story. Can't wait to start the next.

Barrett was right

Barrett was 100% correct. He didn’t want to tell anyone because Drake is flipping crazy. If the relationship didn’t work out everyone would of been angry, at Barrett. The end where Drake is all ok if he had told him from the get go is complete bullshit. Nope Drake is off his rocker, and wouldn’t of been ok. Drakes 180 and telling Harmony that he would all of sudden back off again is bullshit. No one changes that fast..... Harmony is a childish brat who needed to put her brother in his place. Truly put him in his place, not the wishy washy oh you’re my brother crap she was doing with Drake. Had she put her big girl panties on from the get go she and Barrett wouldn’t of had to worry about anything. Love Jaci Burton, but she wrote the blow up scene as all Barrett’s fault in reality it was Harmony’s. Again if she had stopped the toxic attitude of her brother by letting him know accept her choices or cut him off from her life he would of knocked his shit off a long time ago. The ending was disappointing Harmony should of been begging Barrett not the other way around. I don’t think Harmony or Drake deserve Barrett in their lives. The poor guy is getting the raw end of the deal.

Unexpected Rush

Still loving this series even if this one wasn't as good, well it was but it got on my nerves at times. There was something about all the secret keeping. Barrett is star on the football field and he finally sees what is in front of him, Harmony, his best friend's sister. However, there is the "bro code" and he will not cross it until she convinces him he should and they keep their relationship secret. Drake, Harmony's brother is uber protective and when he finds out about them it causes so many problems, between Barrett and Harmony, between Drake and Harmony, between Drake and his mother, and especially between Barrett and Drake that it carries over into the game and they lose the game. The coach calls them on it, "work it out!" and mama calls Drake on it "grow up and realize Harmony is grown up!" This one was good and I'm looking forward to more in the series. Oh, and there was a happy ending so all is well!

Too long and a missed opportunity

Only the interplay with the other family members saved this book. It had an good but incomplete ending. The fact that the couple was interracial was ignored and never addressed which ion one hand is a sweet fantasy but sooo unrealistic as to be absurd. The only point to the plot was how hot the relationship could be if it was made to seem illicit even though both were consenting adults, and how much of an overprotective bully big brother could be. Not a great premise for the entire plot.- boring. Ok on the Romance Package but not worth the credit and too bad as this series is normally better than this.

Ok

I really liked this book and would recommend this book. I wish this author didn't use God's name in vain. You don't have to use " GD " to have a great book. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I wish I could have read more of their story about the wedding and maybe some children. I wish her friend would have gotten with his brother Flynn or her brother Drake.
