About this listen

For Sheila, a lie is a deal-breaker. But what if it’s not a lie? What if it’s just not the whole truth?

Being a popular Dom at the nicest BDSM club in town would be the top of the mountain for lots of guys, but for Steffen Cothran, it’s meant heartache. He lost someone he thought he might be able to have a future with to his best friend when Trish Stinson and Clint Winstead patched things up. He knows he wants a relationship, but so far he’s had trouble finding that one person, the one he knows he's meant to be with, to make that happen.

That all changes when Trish and Clint walk into the club with Trish’s best friend, Sheila Brewster. Even though he's met her, he never really had much contact with her. But Clint has a plan: He’s looking for a Dom to protect Sheila in case her abusive ex-boyfriend manages to get paroled. And Clint happens to think that Steffen is a great candidate for that position.

Steffen and Sheila’s relationship starts casually and quickly grows into a promising romance. But one question makes all the difference, and when Steffen doesn’t lie but doesn’t tell the whole truth with his answer, Sheila’s left wondering if she can ever trust anyone again. And when Steffen’s little omission shows up on his doorstep in full-blown chaos, the relationship he’d had such high hopes for is shattered, possibly forever.

In the aftermath, Sheila sets a course for self-destruction that turns out to be more dangerous than anyone could’ve imagined. With no one to blame but himself, Steffen finds it hard to help a woman who won’t have anything to do with him.

Two broken hearts. One huge mistake. A few really bad choices. And a lifetime of pain if things can’t be righted. It may be impossible to mend the broken trust, and their love could be lost forever.

The second in the Me, You, and Us series following Adventurous Me, Steffen’s story in Unforgettable You is funny, smart, sweet, kinky hot, and heartbreaking. It’s a tale of what happens when you forget that there’s not a lot of difference between a lie and a partial truth, and what love really means when two people belong together.

Second is MUCH better than the First!

This is the continuation of Adventurous Me, dealing with Steffen and Sheila (Trish's, the MC from the first book, friend).  I will be honest and say that I wasn't a fan of the first book.  I didn't find any of the characters to be terribly likable, and the Doms all seemed either incompetent or careless (neither are great attributes in a Dom).

I do firmly believe that both of these books would be significantly better as dual narration (or duet).  That being said, Tor Thom is a step in the right direction for solo narration!

The Good: Both characters are well-developed and likeable (which is huge for me since I found myself often yelling at the characters in the first book); Tor Thom has a fantastic soothing voice. This is my first book narrated by him, and I liked him a lot; I was honestly surprised with where the drama from the story was going to come from, as my inferences were NOT right (this is good! I like to be surprised by books!); ridiculously sexy and well-written, and VERY detailed BDSM scenes.

The Meh: While, I'm not a huge fan of his "lie of omission," I wish Sheila would have just listened to him.

Emotional and spicy!

When Sheila walks into the bdsm club with her friends, Clint and Trish, Steffan's life is changed. Ready for a relationship after being badly hurt, he just had not found the right woman. Sheila too has had her bad luck with men, and is willing to give love another try. Will this lifestyle be the one for her? Will the two weather the secrets being held? Deanndra Hall gives us the second book in the Bliss series, a love story that is not only steamy but delicate and loving. Sheila surprised me. She is a loving woman, but her hurt runs so deep, forgiveness does not seem to be an option. Yet she loves the lifestyle and the man. Steffan infuriated me for a while. It was only a matter of time. But Hall does find the silver lining of love. Not easy to hear for me in a couple of scenes, her ability to let us feel the rawness of betrayal and the warmth of love is beautiful. It's a great story and has a couple of other exciting surprises for us as well.

Tor Thom brings it all to life. His warm voice is perfect for Steffan. He can switch from the overpowering dom voice to the warm compassionate voice in an instant, pouring out sensuality and tenderness. He lets us into Sheila's world with a voice full of confidence, and then lets us feel her betrayal and love. His portrays all the emotions and gives us a fantastic listen.

Must Listen to Audible book.

Thank you, Deanndra Hall, for such an emotionally heartwarming story! In a very good way, you even gave me some unexpected surprises. The plot and character development was exceptional. Steffen is a dom that has compassion and a heart of gold. Sheila is also compassionate but her hard limit is being lied to. Steffen will learn that the act of omission can be just as devastating as a lie. Sheila must learn to listen to the whole story before making any rash decisions. I also loved all of their friends that gave them such wonderful emotional support. This story took me a a rollercoaster ride of emotions, but it was a terrific ride.

Tor Thom did an excellent job of making the listener experience the emotions of these characters and gave them distinctive voices. He never ceases to amaze me with his talents. Awhile back with his deep voice, I would never have thought that he could pull off a female voice, but he does it with ease. He is truly a voice artist. I highly recommend this Audible book. This couple completed each other and I instantly fell in love with them.

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt!

Deanndra Hall delivers another fabulous novel in her “Bliss” series, this book follows “Adventurous Me”, which was mainly Clint and Trish’s story, though Steffen, the lead in this book played a big role in their story. This book is his story as well as Sheila’s, Trish’s best friend. I adored Steffen in the first book and fell in love with him even more in this book. The man had a huge heart, he wanted to find a partner and love like Clint and Trish. I was happy to see Clint and Steffen relationship go back to what it was pre Trish. It was his idea to introduce him to Sheila and take her under his wing. She had come out of a bad relationship and had trust issues. Steffen had his own relationship issues but he was working to resolve those and thought it would be soon. I thought Steffen and Sheila were great together and for each other. He was the perfect person to show and teach her the ropes in BDSM lifestyle. All goes well until the past comes knocking at his door, bringing a surprise with him he loses the one thing that made him happy. The author packed a lot of story into this book, it is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot kink and romance. I was not a fan of how Sheila handled conflict and the choices she made to numb her heartache. But she redeems herself in the end, saw the error of her ways and thankfully it was love that saves her, saves Steffen too. Deanndra Hall, thank you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Tor Thom is a terrific narrator and voice artist. He brings the characters to life, going each their own voice and personality. He does an awesome job portraying the characters, taking each role and making it his own. I adored his take on all the characters but must say he truly made Steffen shine in this book. He set the perfect tone for the story, captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into his performance. He is a talented and entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧
