About this listen

Pack Rule number two: Always protect your mate

I protected my country. Protected my platoon. Now all I wanted to protect was her. Too bad that wasn’t an option.

I couldn’t fall for the beautiful slip of a female. The baby sister of my brother’s new mate. She was way too young. Way too human. Still in college. And too bright a force of nature. She had her whole life ahead of her. And I had the Green Berets begging me to re-enlist.

My wolf...he wanted her. But if I let her go without claiming her, I might not survive the moon madness.

Story good - Reader has bizarre inflections

I liked the story just fine. But this reader has the strangest inflections. over the many years I have been listening to audible books I find her interpretations very strange - accenting the wrong word in the phrase or sentence... just strange.

I enjoyed it!

The storyline was fairly basic but good. It was easy to follow. I enjoyed the book and will continue the series.

Great Book- Confusing Narrator

I really enjoyed the strong, demanding man storyline! I didn't enjoy the narrator reading.

Decent plot for a short romance

Like most short romance novels, and all of the wolf ranch books, this one is short, sweet and to the point.
I found the domineering nature of the male protagonist and the way he kept referring to this grown woman as “little girl” off putting. Not “baby girl” or “little lady” as a gentleman may but “little girl”, which was creepy given he wanted to mate with her.
The fact he used his finger in her bum the first time he touched her also threw the relatability of the story off.
There’s several sexually charged scenes from beginning to end, as these authors are known for. In reality, this book keeps up with what I would expect to see from the Wolf Ranch series. It follows a similar pattern but with its own plot and problems.

much better that book 1

author doesn't have any idea about cowboys except from what she learned from TV but this book is much better, more fluid story line, balanced characters than the first book in series. good to vegg to.

great story but

the only problem I have is that the male characters aren't narrated by a man, a woman should never narrate a male character and visa versa, it's just wrong and throws off the whole book, it makes it sound homosexual (I'm not into that) and is miss leading, the story in itself is great though, please find a male to narrate the male roles, it would make the story so much better, and this is coming from a woman BTW, just saying

The book is better than the audio

#Paranormal #Shifter #Military #AlphaHero #FatedMates #Audiobook

I listened to this book on audio. The story itself can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.

Colton and Marina meet in the middle of a storm. He recognizes her as his fated mate immediately. She is just looking for a good time and she finds it with Colton. They end up with a hot steamy night together. The next time they meet Colton realizes that marina is the younger sister of his brother's new bride-to-be.

This was a hot fated mates read. I loved how protective and OTT Colton is. Marina has to figure out where her boundaries are and what she wants her future to look like before she can be all in with Colton. Hot and steamy, this was an enjoyable story.

The audiobook, narrated by Kylie Stewart was good but not excellent. I would give it 3 stars. I really missed having dual narration because this is just the single narrator. I really like this series, but I am not sure if I will continue with the audiobook versions to read them.
