About this listen

Jess Carter only wants to finish out her senior year of high school. No friends, no boyfriends, and definitely not an insanely hot, overprotective guy who might possibly be her mate. No thanks. She only came to the tiny town of Banks, Idaho, to make sure her dad doesn't do anything too crazy. Like buy the local motel where you pay by the hour.

Dangerous stalkers and a group of students known as the Pack are the opposite of what she plans on, but that doesn't change the fact that she has zero intentions of getting involved. At all. Period. End of story. Except, the stalkers are after her; the insanely hot guy is one of the high school coaches; and the Pack...well, let's just say the name suits them.

With nowhere else to turn, Jess must rely on the Pack to protect her, but in doing so, she becomes caught up in a brewing war over territory and power. One that may cost her everything.

Contains mature themes.

Pack

This is a wolf vs human love story. Preformed really well. Easy to listen to. Mainly a great story. SPOILER. Could have done without the teacher student romance. Don’t mind age difference but there is a lot of stuff in news about teacher student relationships. This glorified it. Also if that didn’t bother you it justified bringing a gun to school and keeping it in you backpack while you walk around all day. Could’ve been a mega book sale.

Lovely Refreshing POV As Beta Story

love loved loved this book especially because it was written with the beta as the main protagonist instead of the alpha. Only had to skip a few minutes leading to where she marks him, it was more sexually intense but still not inappropriate. I really liked this consideration especially because of the age gaps. The restraint keeps it relatable and realistic.

Nicely progressive story.

One of the best written stories I’ve heard in a while. Keeps you in the story making you want to keep turning the page.

Good addition to wolf shifters romance

I liked that the author created her own shifter world with some differences from other shifter books. It made it new and interesting. No “fated mates”. Instead there is a big emphasis on the shortage of breeding females, both human and shifters, who have the gene to birth other shifters. Jess goes to live with her father for her senior year of high school. He has gone to live in a small rural community. There, Jess is introduced to a group of classmates and a coach who are nicknamed the Pack. Events unfold and she learns they are wolf shifters in hostile conflict with another nearby pack. She becomes targeted when her scent reveals that she is a rare human who can breed shifter children. Danger and lots of action unfolds as the hostile pack targets her while she is growing close to several high school pack members and especially the hunky football coach. This is the first book in a series. It doesn’t end on a cliffhanger but I want to continue the series as I found it enjoyable and liked the characters.

great narration

great narration, good pace. Wish the setting was in college instead of Highschool, kinda gives the icks. But if you pretend they are in the better setting, it's a great story.

I was shocked at how good this book was!

I can't wait to devour the rest of the series, and I hope they don't let me, because now I have high hopes!
