This series is opening up in ways that I didn't expect it to. It is very thought provoking on how this happens. I have to don't go into detail because I don't want to give anything away like others do.
I am waiting to see what is going to happen in book three.

I liked how the aliens were not all powerful and how they we're not just the standard aliens that other authors uses in their books.

Is this a Book or a Novella?
Reviewed: 10-19-23
It seems like we are getting more Novellas lately in this series than we are getting Books.
I like the series the one thing that I don't like is the length of the books; they are just too Short.
This could have been longer if it wasn't left as a cliffhanger.
Now it will be months until the next Novella comes out.

Story
For four millennia, the sixteen planets of the Imperium sector have served as a bastion of peace against the Chaosic Regions. The Imperium's legacy can be attributed to the formidable military power of the Stratus, the enforcers of the Supreme and the Senate. However, as is often the case with empires, it is the smallest cracks that threaten to shatter their foundations.

Reviewed: 11-17-22
I just listened to Imperium Descent, and it is not what I usually listen to, it is a good change. The book is actually read by the writer, and he does a very good job unlike some other writer who read their own books. I like all the extra material that comes with this audio book. I also enjoyed the end of the book as the character talks to you and the bloopers that was added to the end of the book.

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!
Reviewed: 07-10-18
This is my favorite series on Audible.com and that is saying something; because I have been a member since 2003 and I have about 942 Audible titles.
Ok I never played RPG games at all they don't turn me on at all. My favorite game of all time was MechCommander from 1998. Yes, I have an Xbox 1 but I don't use it that much.
That's enough about me and my non-gaming life.
About this book I LOVE IT!!! The way the Author writes the book... You are there in The Land and you become Richter!! Maybe it’s the Narrator and not the Author who puts all the pictures in my mind... I actually think its them both together Who Bring The Land To Life in your mind when you listen to them!! It’s been the same from book 1 till now book 7!! Like I have said before I have about 942 Audible titles sum are Good, and some are so dry its almost painful to finish them. That all is down to the Author and the Narrator if they don’t do their jobs right you have a bad to ok book. If both the Author and Narrator do their jobs right, you can end up with a Good or Great Audio Book.
In some Audio Books that I have listened to you are just receiving Information or listening to the story.
In some other Audio Books you are outside watching what is going on, like watching a TV show.
In the Best Audio Books you are taken into the Audio Book and you become the main character of the Audio Book, His choices become yours.
The way Predators is written, let’s just say you are Richter and you 3 choices we will say that they are Right, Center and Left. You can choose any one that you want to. The one that you choose will be the same one that Richter chooses in the book. At least it was for me every time I made a choice before Richter did in the book. That is because there was only one real choice to make.
So, if you want an Audio Book to lose yourself in I would suggest The Land: Predators. Why? Because you have 46 hours and 57minutes to lose yourself in. It is well worth the price.
Oops… I did not tell you anything about the book. Well I will give you one spoiler here it is. ((Just remember WWKD….))
On a personal note I like the one in Red Spandex Too…
GNOMES RULE!
