This broke my heart to find out this place actually existed and that type things that went on in the school really happened. Disturbing, Sad, heartbreaking and inhumane. The story was captivating, engaging and paced very well. The narrator was great. I could tell which character was which. The twist at the end did surprise me in a heart-felt way. The actual history of the Doizer School for Boys is a sad, ugly part of American history. Those boys deserved so much better.

I haven't read this book since high school and this novel still holds up. It gave me all of the thrills and chills it did the first time that I read it. Such a chilling story. Still one of my top favs from Stephen King. Loooooved it!

It was okay, but I expected more nail-biting suspense. I didn't like how the ending abruptly ended. Some of characters got on my nerves. I wanted something more sinister with a cliffhanger for a potential sequel.

OMG! This story was engaging and I ate every bit of it up. I love horror movies featuring creepy, evil living dolls/puppets. It is so hard to find them in book form. This suppressed my expectations. I loooooved it! More evil/possessed dolls/puppets stories please and thank you! PupKin puppet is what nightmares are made of. I need a sequel! lol The movie adaptation of this better do this story justice or level it up! Can't wait to see this on the big/small screen.

I wasn't that impressed. The ending was too long. This could have been a short, quick suspense with a short, quick tie up. I am soooooo glad to be done with this and I can finally move on with my life lol #NoTeaNoNoTeaNoShade

This was a good addition to the book series. I love Adam Cesare's writing style. The story is fast-paced and engaging. I love that Quinn Maybrook went vengeful rogue on the Frendo followers. There were definitely some gnarly kills in this one. Adam never fails with the horror. He gives his readers what they want and I love that. The narrator of this series is amazing. Please, keep using her! 🙏🏾 My only con is I wish Cole and Russ were more iinvolved in this book like the first two. That being said, bring on more FRENDO! The ending of this book would be a great setup and concept for the next book. Can't wait to see the movie adaptation of the first book. 😍

I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Great plot that had a nice pace to it. Narrator was superb! This world felt dark, creepy, chilling and terrifying. Loved the ending, too. They'll never stop watching Mina.......

I have seen the original movie and the new musical movie adaptation. I have seen the revival of The Color Purple on Broadway. I have performed in the musical at a local community theatre in Carmel, IN. I finally read the novel and my love for this story has deepen. There was trauma through this book, but continued to shine through and never die is the LOVE!!!! BEAUTIFUL! "Look What God Has Done.....AMEN!"

I loved it. It kept me engaged from beginning to end. The "real" Horror of the Reformatory was the evil ways of man. The racism. The cruelty of white people towards Black folks. Just inhumane. Evil. Pure evil!

There were some gross out chapters, especially when the character Geraldine comes in the picture with her backstory. Most disgusting, disturbing and pure evil character I have ever encountered. Overall, it kept me engaged and couldn't stop listening till the very end. if violence towards children don't mix well with you, AVOID IT! Not for the faint of heart.
