Story
In the wilds of the Northern California mountains, all the inhabitants of a small town have gone missing. It's as if the people picked up and left their possessions behind. With a mystery on their hands and no jurisdiction on private property, the FBI dumps the whole problem in the lap of the land owner, Aspen Creek, Inc. - a.k.a. the business organization of the Marrok's pack. Somehow, the pack of the Wolf Who Rules is connected to a group of vanished people. Werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham are tasked with investigating.

one of the best Alpha and Omega books yet...

I really enjoyed this book. The listener learns a lot about Bran and Leah.
I read some reviews that were not happy about the narration but I disagree with those. I rather like Holter Graham, and his presentation of the book. Some of the character voices were a little different from the last book....but I find that most narrators do that over the course of a series.
The book overall was quite dark material. But, I was happy to have conformation of my theory about Leah ....She definitely is not stupid and not as shallow as previously presented.

Story
My name is Mercedes Athena Thompson Hauptman, and I am a car mechanic. And a coyote shape-shifter. And the mate of the Alpha of the Columbia Basin werewolf pack. Even so, none of that would have gotten me into trouble if, a few months ago, I hadn’t stood upon a bridge and taken responsibility for the safety of the citizens who live in our territory. It seemed like the thing to do at the time. It should have only involved hunting down killer goblins, zombie goats, and an occasional troll. Instead, our home was viewed as neutral ground.

a good book . no just for teens.

i liked this book more than i expected to; the whole series, really. roth has a very direct style of writing, no fluff. but very easy to listen to and get (and stay) interested in. the end to the series was not what i was expecting and honestly left me extremely sad. i like books that are escapes and this certainly was. but i also like them to include the happy endings we often lack in real life; thelis did not offer that. i will befinetly recommend reading this book to anyone not just teens and younge adults. but it left me very sad at the ending. so much so that i dont think i will ever listen to it again.
