This is memoir of his struggles with his own mental health and living with it. It’s done in such a unique and genuine way that really touched something in me with my own struggles. Green narrates the audio version and his voice is quite soothing. I will enjoy re-listening to this book and gleaning new insights.

I have a serious problem with this book. It isn’t long enough! Only four hours? Really? In honesty I enjoy the writing and performance styles of Caitlin Doughty very much. I recommend her books to my friends all the time. This one does not disappoint and I must say our children have some very interesting questions.

Whose cold silver eyes and heated sensuality sent shivers of danger, of desire, down her slender spine. Dark Magic is already a wonderful read. Sean Crisden’s voice as Gregori just makes it better. I always find it funny to hear a male try work a female voice and vice-a-versa. Crisden has a way with Gregori that had me inclined to not chuckle at his Savannah voice. I’d love for Feehan to have two voices, one male and one female read her series. I think it would be enjoyable. If you love the Dark Series (and you must...it’s a compulsion) you will love the audio book. Buy it!

Most people want to avoid thinking about death, but Caitlin Doughty - a 20-something with a degree in medieval history and a flair for the macabre - took a job at a crematory, turning morbid curiosity into her life’s work. With an original voice that combines fearless curiosity and mordant wit, Caitlin tells an unusual coming-of-age story full of bizarre encounters, gallows humor, and vivid characters (both living and very dead).

The Good Death

I chose to order this book because of Caitlyn Doughty’s work on her YouTube channel. I enjoy her views on death positive culture and I’ve learned a lot. Doughty’s book runs in a similar vein. She discusses with her readers the changes in how Americans view death and the process of corpse disposal. She de-mystifies the “shroud of black curtains and closed doors” in a funeral home. Doughty is forthright about the death industry. Through her educational actions I feel more comfortable about my own death. I’m even thinking about a death plan. I applaud your efforts and look forward to your next book.

Be prepared to cry
Reviewed: 07-31-17
This Pern story does not shy away from the harsh realities of an agrarian society. Anne and Todd creates a story that speaks about life, tragedy, death and then living. It is a well done tale.
I've heard other performances done by Susan Eriksen, this is not one of her better reads. She did not resonate with the characters. The company would have been smarter to stick with Dick Hill, whose voice has become synonymous with the Pern series.

Dual reading rocks!
Reviewed: 07-15-15
I always cringe a little when I hear a woman reader try to read a man's voice and vice versa. Dark Possession alleviates that problem by having two voices read the story. It was never a distraction and I feel enhanced the overall quality of the work by respecting each voice. I'd definitely recommend this book to an audio fan.
