He thinks her name is Marcie (no matter how many times she’s told him otherwise.) Story
Longtime personal assistant Georgie Mulcahy has made a career out of putting others before herself. When an unexpected upheaval sends her away from her hectic job in L.A. and back to her hometown, Georgie must confront an uncomfortable truth: her own wants and needs have always been a disconcertingly blank page. But then Georgie comes across a forgotten artifact—a "friendfic" diary she wrote as a teenager, filled with possibilities she once imagined. To an overwhelmed Georgie, the diary's simple, small-scale ideas are a lifeline-a guidebook for getting started on a new path.

One of my new faves. The characters are well developed and the narrators did a good job with them. Loved the male voice he literally made the book. Would def recommend. Was a very sweet story and not too spicy.

Story
Kelsey Phillips is over the dating scene. All that time and energy perfecting your profile and taking just the right picture and articulating exactly what you’re looking for, only to get the same sleazy propositions? No, thanks. She’s doing just fine on her own, so there’s no point in a fruitless hunt for “the one” that doesn’t exist. Besides, she already has the perfect man in her life. Theo is the type of friend who’s always there for a laugh, a hug, or a drink - and no propositions.

UNPLANNED PREGNANCY
Reviewed: 05-23-23
The unplanned pregnancy totally rubs me the wrong way. I started hearing signs of it and it was an automatic NOPE. The pregnancy just gave the author more content to write about since there was literally no end in sight when this was thrown in. DNF. Plus the steamy scenes are icky. The story line makes no sense and is very contradicting. Theo is always late then somehow he is someone that is never late. All their exes were awful and hated everything that they loved. Blah blah blah. We never really learn of Kelsey’s trauma/the characters are very flat. Overall it’s a no from me, I usually don’t write reviews but had to since we deserve to be warned about the pregnancy trope.

Story
Ever have one of those days where life just plain sucks? Welcome to my last three months - ever since I caught my can’t-be-soon-enough-ex-husband cheating with his paralegal. I’m 35 years old, and I’ve lost my NYC apartment, my job, my money, and frankly, my dignity. But the final heartache in the suck sandwich of my life? My great-aunt Maggie died. The only family member who’s ever gotten me. Even after death, though, she’s helping me get back up again. Too bad that bravado only lasts as long as it takes to drive into Huckleberry Hills. And see the house.

Story
Hollywood screenwriter Sawyer Walsh knows a good love story when he sees it. But when it comes to real life romance, he’s a mess. That’s how he finds himself standing at the altar…as his ex-girlfriend ties the knot with his very famous best friend. The pressure, the resentment, the media coverage—it’s all too much—and before he knows exactly what he’s doing, he’s making a run for it, leaving a shocked congregation and flashing cameras in his wake.

So boring and long winded. The narrators are very annoying “tHank yew” will really start to get ya. Couldn’t finish it after 12 hours nothing had really happened.

Story
Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

Story
Simon Basset, the irresistible Duke of Hastings, has hatched a plan to keep himself free from the town's marriage-minded society mothers. He pretends to be engaged to the lovely Daphne Bridgerton. After all, it isn't as if the brooding rogue has any real plans to marry - though there is something about the alluring Miss Bridgerton that sets Simon's heart beating a bit faster. And as for Daphne, surely the clever debutante will attract some very worthy suitors now that it seems a duke has declared her desirable.

I was so excited to read these books after the show came out but wow was I disappointed. The story line is very similar but without the whimsical fun and flair. The characters are almost unlikable and the book was so boring I couldn’t finish it after 10+ hours invested.
