This is an absolutely delightful audiobook. I highly recommend getting the print or eBook too so your child can read along and see the impressive illustrations while listening to the enchanting audiobook. The narrator has a charming voice like Julie Andrews and each character in the book (the kids, the parents and even Santa) has their own narrator. I loved hearing the kid’s laughter. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed listening to an audiobook as much as I have with this one. The author even includes some “Connection Questions” at the end to facilitate conversation with your kids. This is a professionally produced audiobook – a must have for your family and an excellent gift any child you know.

Whether your child has only been recently diagnosed with ADHD or you’ve been living with their condition for quite a while, it’s normal for parents to feel worried, overwhelmed, and exhausted most of the time. However, keep in mind that ADHD is a condition, not a life sentence. It’s entirely possible for your young one to succeed because of their condition–not despite it. The key is learning how to address your child’s condition properly and consistently at the soonest time possible–the earlier you manage it, the higher their chances of success and happiness.

I am a firm believer that exercise improves your mental health. I know so many people who couldn’t go to the gym during COVID lockdown. They were people that went on a regular basis, and they looked forward to it as part of their daily routine. When the gyms closed, I noticed how they had more anxiety and were struggling with depression. Some didn’t even realize what a key component that exercise played in their mood until the gyms closed. This author does a great job explaining why exercising consistently has mental health benefits. I like that he's not endorsing a specific set of exercises, but rather the importance of creating a routine that works for you and doing it on a regular basis. After listening to this audiobook, you will have the tools to build your own workout plan, set attainable goals, and ability to track your progress.

Story
DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) has rapidly become one of the most effective treatments for mental health conditions that are rooted in those out of control emotions. Whereas ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) works by helping us accept and learn from our emotions instead of fighting against them, which then allows us to find the liberation that leads to us taking the actions that truly matter to us. You don’t have to fight your emotions anymore; instead you can work with them and start your journey to the happiest and healthiest version of yourself.

If you would like to better understand the differences between DBT, ACT, and CBT, the author does a good job of explaining each one so you can make an informed decision on which therapy is best for you. I would have liked the author to provide a PDF with the worksheets provided in the book. The exercises seemed very useful, but kind of hard to do them with an audiobook. However, the author did include a bonus chapter filled with hours of wonderful guided mindfulness meditations that are great to listen to with the audiobook.

I have been looking for a book for awhile that could help me start learning about permaculture. I found this audiobook and it's just what I have been looking for. I tried other permaculture books, but they were too long, dry, and overcomplicated to the point of almost scaring me away from trying permaculture altogether. The Practical Permaculture Project is a well-written, easy-to-read book with tons of helpful, practical information. It's an excellent overview of all areas and methods that I can implement immediately in my garden. I also love the positive tone and the narrator's voice - it made for a nice listening experience. It's definitely a must-have for anyone who is looking for a practical overview and those who enjoy connecting to nature through gardening.

There are so many things I liked about this audiobook. First, it’s a great gift for a loved one or friend who has just lost someone they love. However, be sure to read it first because there is valuable information so you can be more supportive to them as they are grieving. The information is easy to understand and since the authors share their real-life experiences, you can tell their message comes from a place of understanding. They do a great job of normalizing and validating what you are going through while also reminding you that the grieving process is an individual one that has no one right or wrong way to do it. My favorite messages from the authors are that death ends a life and not a relationship and that the loss of someone you love is not something you get over.

I was drawn to this audiobook because I live in an urban area and don’t have much space to work with. I like that the author shares methods for compact mini-gardening which allows me to grow what I want without sacrificing the freshness of a larger garden. I appreciated the section on the different watering methods. I would like to eventually set up the drip system, but probably will start with hand watering for now. I will definitely take advantage of the organic fertilizing tips provided to give my plants the best chance of growing. There is lots of useful information packed into this audiobook. It’s a great listen for beginners who have limited space and want to start their garden right away.
