After multiple attempts, I cannot complete this book. The monotonous narration ruins an otherwise interesting story. The story is engaging enough that I might go as far as actually reading the Kindle or paperback version.

Another Atlanta Murder Squad case that keeps listeners guessing. Chance Meridian’s personal and professional life propels each novel in unexpected directions. The thoughts and discussion at the end of this novel provide more than a fictional conclusion. They provide hope.

Mr. Youngblood takes listeners inside the Secret Service during his twenty years as an agent. The narration and stories are eye-opening and provide a better understanding of the men occupying the Oval Office. Get an inside view of the Eisenhower, Truman, Kennedy, LBJ, and Nixon administrations as told by their protection details.

Mr. Gatward, the author of the Harry Grimm series, leaves the Dales with DC Gordie Haig from Harry’s team. Taking a position in a new place without the love of her life proves challenging, and her first case causes her to hit the ground running. As she becomes familiar with her new team, and community, she copes with loss, and more. Another great story from Dave, but the narration made the tale a challenging listening. I felt like there were moments when I could not hear clearly because of the narrator’s voice.

Two novels into "Whitby's Forgotten Victims" series by Wes Markin, and I cannot wait for more. Already a fan of Markin's other series, I thought I knew what to expect. I could not have imagined the emotional reaction I experienced in "Forgotten Lives." DCI Frank Black is a man battling a family crisis that informs his attitudes concerning his cases while building a genuine team. Aubrey Parsons brilliantly brings the text alive. I love his narration!

Brian Freeman is an author whose Jonathan Stride and Cab Bolton works made me an Audible fan. He writes excellent mysteries with intriguing, well-formed characters. Break Every Rule continues this and reminds me of the X Series (Evan Smoak), especially with the magnificent Scott Brick narrating the action. The antagonist brings to mind the vileness of Jeffrey Epstein/Gislaine Maxwell, which propels the plot forward. The ending suggests a possible return to Tiger’s life and family beyond Break Every Rule. Count me in.

The author’s research is impeccable and the narration is done well. The major events are not revelatory if you watched any number of documentaries done on this family, but the author dives into family history and provides crime details that are hard to hear.
