Story
Number-one New York Times best-selling author Laurie Notaro isn't exactly a domestic goddess - unless that means she fully embraces her genetic hoarding predisposition, sneaks peeks at her husband's daily journal, or has made a list of the people she wants on her Apocalypse Survival team (her husband's not on it). Notaro chronicles her chronic misfortune in the domestic arts, including cooking, cleaning, and putting on Spanx while sweaty (which should technically qualify as an Olympic sport).

Great story so much like my own untidy life . And the conversations with her spouse sound like the ones I have with mine. I actually asked him if he wrote this book under an assumed name.

Ok so I admit I didn't think to much when I purchased this, I perused it a bit thinking it some sort of time traveling romance boy was I wrong. I have to say I had times where I just did not want to put it down at the end of the day. I really was so enjoying this, I kept looking for clues about what time frame it was taking place but only one incarnation had any kind of clue, the rest curiously could have been set down in many time periods. I was sad when it was over and could never have predicted the ending.

Story
Cat Mojo is the confidence that cats exhibit when they are at ease in their environment and in touch with their natural instincts - to hunt, catch, kill, eat, groom, and sleep. Problems such as litter box avoidance and aggression arise when cats lack this confidence. Jackson Galaxy's number one piece of advice to his clients is to help their cats harness their mojo. This book is his most comprehensive guide yet to cat behavior and basic cat care, rooted in understanding cats better.

I loved this book I respect his work and commitment to helping us understand cats
We are always spreading the word of the Cat Daddy. It's also an opening to talk about our cats and we could go on and on about them and how superior they are because we walk the walk. Write more Jackson.

Story
St. Louis in 1880 is full of ghosts - mangled soldiers, tortured slaves, the innocent victims of war - and Jacob Tracy can see them all. Ever since Antietam, when he lay delirious among the dead and dying, Trace has been haunted by the country's restless spirits. The curse cost him his family, his calling to the church, and damn near his sanity. He stays out of ghost-populated cities as much as possible these days, guiding wagon trains west with his pragmatic and skeptical partner, Boz.

what weeding??
Reviewed: 08-08-16
I enjoy my audiobooks as part of my daily routines of house and garden work. I was so involved in this book that very quickly I saw that my weeding was done. Since sitting to read a book is a luxury I do not have time for these days, I do enjoy my audio books and I get to read a larger variety of titles that I might not have chosen if I could not listen while doing other things.
My only complaint was that sometimes I could not tell the difference between Trace our lead character and his partner Boz, the voices were to similar and I lost the thread of the conversation and had to rewind to make sure I understood the scene.

I enjoyed this really because of the history and customs of the time. I enjoyed Memoirs of a Geisha for the same reasons. I feel inadequate to put this review into words, as I am a reader not a writer but I am making an effort with this.

Story
When siblings Dan and Hayley Daley inherit their late grandmother's derelict Victorian farmhouse, it seems like a dream come true. All they have to do is fix the place up and sell it for a tidy profit! Except - as anyone who has renovated an old house knows - things are never that easy. The walls are rapidly crumbling around them, the architect is a certified lunatic, the budget is spiraling...and then there's the disturbingly intelligent cow to worry about.

I do not review books often, I do not think I can really put them into words to communicate to others, and sometimes I listen to a book for reasons that do not make sense to others. However this book while it did not start out as comedy it really became one. I think a lot of the plot was expected but that did not matter as the two narrators swapped back & forth their experiences with trying to flip an old farmhouse left to them by their grandmother, and the secrets about the house. If you want something lighthearted, that you can enjoy give this a try. I will not spoil by giving details about my headline, but I have to say I was laughing so hard while listening to this and weeding in my garden that my neighbor asked me if I was ok and what was it that was making me laugh so hard. You see he could not see that I had ear buds in my ears he thought I was just sitting in my garden and laughing like a loon.

Story
The winds of change are blowing through Thebes. A devastating palace fire has killed the Eighteenth Dynasty’s royal family—with the exception of Nefertari, the niece of the reviled former queen, Nefertiti. The girl’s deceased family has been branded as heretical, and no one in Egypt will speak their names. But this changes when she is taken under the wing of the Pharoah’s aunt, then brought to the temple of Hathor, where she is educated in a manner befitting a future queen.

Story
In this book, Galaxy tells the poignant story of his 13-year relationship with a petite gray-and-white short-haired cat named Benny, and gives singular advice for living with, caring for, and loving the feline in your home. When Benny arrived in his life, Galaxy was a down-and-out rock musician with not too much more going on than a part-time job at an animal shelter and a drug problem. Benny's previous owner brought the cat to the shelter in a cardboard box to give him up.

The Tao of Pussycats
Reviewed: 01-15-14
I recently bought the Tao of Pooh, and while I have not read it yet, as I sit here at home with a home full of Rescue cats from all over, I am wrapped in love and feel as if this could be a road to enlightenment. We watch Jackson Galaxy's show, and really knew very little about his personal life or his addictions, so when I saw this book I was not as prepared for that part of the story even though it talked about it in the title. Oh my what a path that he has gone through and survived and become a better man, and cat advocate. I have watched the show and him work with cats and come up with ideas to help to integrate that cat and its family and other animals is so great. I have always been awed by his work. And while someone just saying "do not worry about not having letters after your name" to you that does not make it any easier to reconcile if you feel that is an important thing. For me he needs no letters, his love of cats is heart warming to other lovers of cats.
Now this does not mean that you have to love cats to read this book, this man leads a difficult life, does not come through unscathed but comes through, a better man. I do not know of anyone who would not appreciate this story, even without the cats. I hope you all will give it a try and don't forget to spay and neuter you companion animals.

Gigi, on the other hand, has problems of her own, including the demise of her relationship with high school sweetheart, Ben, and a looming job interview with Ophelia Lambert, the scariest potential employer in the Hollow.

Always leaves me looking for the next book
Reviewed: 12-30-13
Well of course it was too short, but I loved it and am glad about the next one coming out. I have enjoyed the Silly banter and camaraderie of the characters and even thought I had not read the other books just the other day it was easy to pick back up. I am also glad to get to see the story from Gi Gi's point of view, and this story leaves the trail of crumbs of some future books featuring Gi Gi again. Amanda Ronconi as always a stellar performance, her ability to bring to life each character Molly Harper writes is just amazing. I sometimes find myself comparing her to others and many times they do not stack up as well as Amanda Ronconi does. So great short story, I recommend it and would also like to say Thank you to Audible for making it a free bee.
