Story
From the Audie-nominated narrator of The Martian. In eleven years' time, a million members of an alien race will arrive at Earth. Years before they enter orbit, their approach will be announced by the flare of a thousand flames in the sky, their ships' huge engines burning hard to slow them from the vast speeds needed to cross interstellar space. These foreboding lights will shine in our night sky like new stars, getting ever brighter until they outshine even the sun, casting ominous shadows and banishing the night until they suddenly blink out.

Not into profanity?
Reviewed: 06-22-22
the profanity was unbelievable! unless you like a lot of that. It felt like Mr Moss was looking hard to find places to put the f word. The story itself was great. I look forward to book number two, but I will probably not listen to it because I realize the profanity level will be high.

Great read and story and f bombs
Reviewed: 09-20-21
The story was great, the reader did a fine job. But, I am not used to hearing the f word so much. in places that the f word was only there to somehow spice the story up, and the story was great and did not need the f word spice. The book was a little heavy on that spice.

Story
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

The year is 2380. The Intersolar Commonwealth, a sphere of stars some 400 light-years in diameter, contains more than 600 worlds, interconnected by a web of transport "tunnels" known as wormholes. At the farthest edge of the Commonwealth, astronomer Dudley Bose observes the impossible: Over 1,000 light-years away, a star...vanishes. It does not go supernova. It does not collapse into a black hole. It simply disappears.

The beginning is profanity laced by a lot, and the events are rough in the beginning. but after that the story gets going. Very intriguing story, and more then one spot where I didn't see a particular event coming. This would be a great story if the profanity was curtailed by a lot.
