About this listen

The Federation races to discover the culprits of several terrorist attacks, sending their flagship, the USS Prometheus, to stop war breaking out in the galaxy.

A mysterious terrorist organisation has carried out several attacks against the Federation and Klingon Empire. Tensions are running high in a region already crippled by conflict. The perpetrators are tracked to the Lembatta Cluster, a mysterious region of space whose inhabitants, the Renao, regard the Alpha Quadrant s powers as little more than conquering tyrants. The Federation are desperate to prevent more bloodshed, and have sent their most powerful warship, the USS Prometheus, into the Cluster to investigate the threat before all-consuming war breaks out.

Great story and Characters.

To the whiners out there who have complained about the narrator for this book need to stow it and realize that his accent accounts for most of this. He could have used a half hour of coaching on some terms for those of us used to North American speech. I look forward to more stories from the Prometheus.

Really enjoyed this one

I know there are alot of negatives about poor pronunciations but honestly it's not that bad (like the Tall Shire and beeta). If you're a Trekkie check it out.

Narrator is awful

If you can’t learn to pronounce Star Trek names, DO NO NARRATE. Very distracting and may cause me to not finish series.

The narrator should watch trek

He keeps getting things wrong like someone who never watched the show to begin with.

Narrator is infuriating...

This narrator will infuriate any Trek fan. He really hurts my CDO (thats OCD with the letters in alphabetical order like they should be damn it!). Pronunciation of the following will just piss you off: Beeta-quadrant instead of beta quadrant, tall shire instead of Tal Shiar, Kellar instead of K'Ehleyr, and many, MANY others. It just goes on and on....So far its a good story, and I am glad they are starting to get Trek books in here, but get someone else please.

Well written problem in narration

The VA could do with watching the show sometimebas he misprounces words that are common in the show. Raktajino (rack-tə-jeen-oh) is especially heinous as its spoken in nearly ever episode of DS9.

Mr Newman otherwise does an excellent job, but someone in production, direction, or Mr Newman himself should have caught that.

A solid story with call back to earlier Trek.

I was hesitant to start this book, as it seemed to have no characters that I was familiar. Now having completed this story, I found it to be quite enjoyable. Many call backs to earlier Trek series and themes.
