Story
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

It's finally here in all its glory n delight
Reviewed: 05-26-22
This is hands down the start of a magnum opus of the genre in audio form.
Beware of Chicken is a daddy of the western-written cultivation genre, to not accept this is not be able to see Mount Tai, and forever remain a bottom-feeder at the lowest rung of the realms.
But seriously kudos to Travis Baldree bringing this story alive, in his inimitable way as always, I'm a huge fan and extreme glad the team managed to procure his talent.
Casualfarmer, the day you picked up a pen, it was blessing to all mankind.
Jin, Big D and crew I'm along for this ride in audio form all the way.
How long until the sequel?

Story
Grant looks forward to the vast megalopolis that is the District of March. He’s finally got a real companion - not just a voice in his head pretending to kill him over and again - and Suki’s perspective is invaluable. She’s a Noble, a warrior, and a noble warrior. With two months of intense physical training under his much-tightened belt, Lord January is ready to face whatever his next challenge might be - and what’s more fun than games of chance? A bet no one would be willing to take.

Reviewed: 03-29-22
If you're listening to this one, then you're on this journey all the way to the end.
Eagerly awaiting April's extravaganza, the epilogue did just enough to build the hype.
I'm amazed that Dakota managed to make TBC work so seamlessly, and excited by the prospect it has opened up this saga too all sorts of systems, styles and genres.
Travis Baldree is my number one go too for movie in the mind and here he delivers gold again.

A lord according to the system, Grant Monday has arrived in February. This place is the absolute opposite of January, and his largest challenge isn’t hostile Wielders. Instead, the new lord needs to face culture shock, contending with strange foods, stringent training, and a stomach-churning subrace of humans known as "Joggers". Grant chose the wrong time to try to take on the world: Every single citizen of February is a powerful body cultivator, and this year there has been a huge shift in the power dynamics of the District.

A** Epicness and Badassery
L.M Kerr has kept this story riveting and tight through out, but most importantly Kerr has put the time and dedication needed to just so rightly craft characters whose personality, motives and struggles keeps coming together so smoothly, thus far I remain entertained and thoroughly glued to Micheal and his efforts to save humanity.
This series is my guilty pleasure, just how Kerr can keep all these fights, abilities and plots rolling along as he ups the ante and up the OP-ness of Micheal, his crew, the antagonists is wondrous to behold....I will be coming back over and over.
This volume was long awaited in audible form, so whilst waiting I read the re-writes, and still had to be here DAY ONE for ADAM STUBBS delicious narration. Dude brings this series alive with impressive ability and care and he's getting better, with slew of new of voices in this volume.
Now I'm impatiently awaiting Volume 4, god spare life!

The Beginning After the End: Publisher's Pack 2 contains books 3 and 4 of The Beginning After the End series, Beckoning Fates and Horizon's Edge. Though Arthur Leywin would like nothing more than to pursue his studies at the esteemed Xyrus Academy, where he hopes to push his already potent magical abilities to new plateaus and perhaps discover something more about his reincarnation into this world, he finds the politics of the school’s halls even more challenging to navigate than those of the council chambers he once inhabited as King Grey.
