Yet he spends his life willingly, knowing that his blood and sweat will one day result in a better world for his children. But Darrow and his kind have been betrayed. Soon he discovers that humanity reached the surface generations ago. Vast cities and sprawling parks spread across the planet.

This was Amazing
Reviewed: 07-11-22
This Trilogy has a nice moderate pace and everything is done with a Purpose. the build up for some characters may seem like it's going nowhere but it does absolutely get there for every character we focus on. My ONLY complaint comes at the end of book 3, and no spoilers... THE EPILOGUE NEEDED TO BE LONGER. That's it, that's my major gripe.

Worse, he receives reports of disturbing activity coming from the Goldenleaf Forest, and dire warnings of a threat that Laedrin will not be able to handle. The future holds many uncertainties - the hardest of which comes when Arbor is forced to make a choice between rescuing his sister from herself, and keeping the peace in his own lands.

Love Arbor
Reviewed: 05-16-22
I love Arbor as a Character and most of the supporting Cast. However there is ONE character that almost completely ruins the books for me. and thats Kariya, his sister. no matter what is happening, she is petty, Vindictive, and selfish to the point she's a detriment to everyone around her. she's described as "Sweet and kind." but you literially never see her being anything but a Selfish brat. She's easily the ONLY bad part about this book and series.
Whenever Arbor is the focus the story is engaging and driving, he's a very compelling character who genuinely cares about everyone around him. He is powerful and humble and I am always rooting for him and he is in Top shape in this installment.

I was honestly expecting something 30 days of night or some sort of sci-fi type of thing. I was wrong and it was absolutely entrancing and just pulled you in. The story was interesting and the performance was amazing. I love how it viewed vampires, something different from the normal type thing. I definitely recommend this book!

Story
An existence spent being forced to kill others to satiate a Monster. Where the only thing to look forward to was the blessed, if brief, period of time between paying that bribe. Except that very same Monster is and isn’t Rene. It just happened to live inside his own mind and force him to do what it wanted. Rather than being an actual Monster. That was Rene’s entire life until a fateful day changed that. A day that the career as a hitman for hire built on the Monster’s needs will end. Where Rene will be forced to atone for his actions. To be held accountable and judged.

Story
In his oppressively small 10x10 cell at the Norfolk Naval Station’s Brig, Captain Galvin Quintos sits awaiting his impending court-martial when he's unexpectedly contacted by Fleet Commander Admiral Block. He’s proposing an off-book, secret operation, coming at the request of the Pleidian Weonan Empress Shawlee Tee. For Quintos, telling Shawlee “no” was never an option. Unfortunately, according to the admiral, this very well could be a mission of no return.

Idiot decisions made for Plot.
Reviewed: 05-21-21
I will Preface this with a potential spoiler warning.
the first half of the book was great! as the previous two books were. But then it immediately spiraled into sheer idiocy for the sake of plot advancement. There were massive GLARING plot holes and decisions that made no sense. I spent the last HALF of the book all but screaming. YOU.. HAVE.. A.. TELEPORTER! TELEPORT STUFF."
They never took advantage of some of the simplest to come up with ideas. then in the last Third of the book all I could say was "USE THE DAMN BROADSIDES." Of course no plausible reason was ever given for why that level of Frustration was nessecary.
This was an extreamly frustrating read, and I think the Author needs to assess the fact they used Stupidity as plot advancement. There was never a point in this book where the solution wasn't readily available at all times, and it was still never used.

Story
The sequel to the number one Audible Best Seller Earthcore, Mount Fitz Roy continues the tale of Patrick O’Doyle and Bertha Lybrand, who were part of the horror show that occurred far below the mountains of Utah. They learn that the "mother of all motherlodes” discovered there was not unique, that there is another deposit similar to it three miles beneath the towering peak of Cerro Chaltén on the disputed border between Chile and Argentina. O'Doyle, a middle-aged former member of a disgraced black-ops unit, gets his aging team back together to go after this fortune.

This, right here is the perfect Sequel. Scott is at the top of his game with this title. Never a dull moment, the twists and turns this story takes always keeps you on your toes, yet no twist feels out of place or unnatural. This story flows even better than Earthcore and is in my opinion, as I said before the PERFECT sequel.

Story
An AI overseer and a human crew arrive on a distant planet to salvage an ancient UN starship. The overseer is unhappy. The crew, well, they're certainly no A-team. Not even a C-team on the best of days. And worse? Urmahon Beta, the planet, is at the ass-end of nowhere. Everybody expects this to be a long, ugly, and thankless job. Then it all goes disastrously wrong. What they thought was an uninhabited backwater turns out to be anything but empty.

Badgelor has been patient, or at least as patient as a homicidal badger can be. With the celebration of Grebthar Day, it's finally time to go get Charles! Nothing is going to stop Jim and his companions, not even the signs of the Dark Overlord's return. This adventure could be Windfall's greatest yet, or it could be its absolute downfall.
