Story
After her husband walks out, leaving her with three small children, Shelby isn't interested in romance. She just wants her roof to not leak and the furnace to work. Keene Emmerson is ready to settle down, but he's not expecting to find love in a single wide trailer amidst the chaos of kids, construction, and a pair of September sky blue eyes. When Keene volunteers to take some Christmas gifts out to Shelby's place and help put an addition on her trailer, he doesn't expect to start falling for the down-on-her-luck single mother.

Story
Monroe Hutchison is spending the winter in Prairie Rose, Iowa, and thinking about settling there permanently. The MacCartney sister that’s he’s been kind of dating would make an excellent farmer’s wife, but it’s her sickly younger sister, Esther, who makes him laugh. He enjoys her company and sometimes forgets that she never gets up from the couch and could never handle the rigorous life of a farmer’s wife.

Story
Elias Emerson has worked hard and become a successful businessman. Fellow businesswoman Catherine Hutchison has been with him, helping him all his adult life, but he’s never really paid attention to her. She's just there. He never noticed how much she did for him behind the scenes. How much she lifted him up and made him better. How much she sacrificed to give him the support and encouragement he needed. Until she announces that she’s quitting her job and moving away from Prairie Rose.

The narration on this story is very well done. I love how this story is approached in the narration with emotion and I could easily keep track of the characters. The story is really good which, I think, helped the narrator do such a good job.

Shawn Barclay didn’t plan to stay in Iowa long. He’d only left his family and the close-knit community of Mistletoe, Arkansas as a favor to his parents. They’d asked him to help the daughter of a friend who was in an accident. After arriving in Iowa, it doesn’t take long before Shawn invests in saving more than the woman’s farm. When he sees how the town avoids her, he decides to save her reputation as well.

There were a lot of fun moments and romantic ones too. I love the concept of this story and how all the people believed in a curse with all the accidents that happened. Shawn is such a fun character especially when he is determined and the way he approaches life. The girls were lots of fun too and overall a really great story. The narrator was wonderful also and really brought this story too life.

I really enjoyed this audio book and the narrator does a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoy a good Christmas story and this fit the bill. There was romance, of course, a bit of mystery, and a dash of danger. The characters are well written and interesting to listen to as the story unfolds. This is a great story.

This was a wonderful story. I love the way this story has a little mystery mixed with romance and set at Christmas time. I was so glad that Kitty was able to become a mail order bride and take the chance at finding a husband. When she meets her husband he has his face covered and refuses to let him see his awful face but she shows him her face anyways just to make sure he will accept her with the way her face is. When she meets his cousin she thinks him to be very familiar but can't figure out why. Definitely worth a listen and the narrator does a nice job.

Overall very enjoyable with a good narrator and some very well written moments. The story starts out a little slow but gets more interesting as you get into it. The characters are likeable and, in the end, very root able with their own quirks that really help make the characters. The story starts with Beth coming out to get the estate and such closed out so the family could sell him . Beth learns of a ghost and starts trying to find Aaron's ghost. This is a great mystery, romance, and a little suspense.

I enjoyed this story a lot and since the story still involved a letter it still is a mail order bride story in its own way. The narrator was interesting to listen to and really made the story come alive with the way she read it. This had a good flow and a good pace to the story with characters that worked well for the story.

I enjoyed listening to this story and the narrator did a good job overall. My interest was kept throughout and I enjoyed the characters. There was a lot going on in this story and knowing this is the last in the series I took my time with this story. Definitely need to go through the first 2 stories to really get the characters and all there backgrounds.

Lovely romance

I did enjoy this story and how God took Jeanie's situation from bad to good. Unfortunately, she was tricked by a wealthy man into thinking he would marry her, when in reality, he wasn't going to and found a way to get her alone so he could do what he wanted to do to her since she wasn't willing. She has a beautiful daughter and moves back to Smugglers Spring to be wth her brother. 3 men, very quickly, set their caps for her but who should she trust? Definitely touches on belief in God and how he can make things work out. So well written and captivating from the get go.
