Story
When Mira’s home is destroyed by gods, she makes two requests to the System that sends her to another world: to be sent to an isolated forest where she can avoid the violent path to godhood, and to gain magic that helps her live and thrive in the forest. She is granted both, though in the harshest way possible. The System strands her in a dangerous forest where half the plants are poisonous, the rivers teem with souls, and even the smallest beasts lay waste to experienced adventurers.

Mc is mentally incompetent.
Reviewed: 06-03-25
Mc starts off trying to make it look like he is this great tactician, only to prove he is an idiot. his first opponent was able to cut him down before he knew it, so after that short exchange he gets heavy armor. armor does nothing to protect him so he goes with a slower weapon. he was already too slow with the fastest weapon he could find, so now he grabs something he is even less likely to hit with.
eventually he realizes he can get skills, so.... he gets a skill that most people can do automatically. Climbing. he then uses it to run away.

MC is a murder hobo but not in a good way.
Reviewed: 04-17-25
MC lacks any morals and sees all the others as zygotes literally so he just kills everything without remorse. Also the MC actually calls himself MC.

Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. Being immortal—that was his first Goal ever, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so.

Story
An AI calling itself Schema has assimilated Earth into its System. As a consequence, everyone gained access to status screens, power-ups, and skills. This AI turned these concepts from fiction to fact. It's easy to become intoxicated with leveling up and becoming stronger. To some, it's too good to be true, like living out a dream. For Daniel, however, it's closer to a nightmare.

this is another story where it would be better if the MC died. All he was is a compasionless masochist there were so many ways he could have acted differently to actually save people. Instead he would get rid of them for having the potential of being in his way.

Story
This is the story of Dan—a high school dropout who plays guitar in a heavy metal band and has a minimum wage job wearing a mouse costume. He's not exactly destined for great things. Then Dan wakes up in another world—a world where science never progressed past the Middle Ages, and the laws of physics have been replaced by role-playing game rules. Dan makes some mistakes—some big mistakes. Dan becomes a Death Knight: a walking personification of death and darkness. Now, Dan must fight monsters, zealots, and demons just to survive, and he must do it all alone.

MC doesn't know how to tell the truth.
Reviewed: 09-25-21
There is often a point In a book where the MC has to come up with this elaborate story to hide what is going on. This isn't it. The MC is such a liar, and story teller that a lot of the problems are caused from him opening his mouth. The MC lies so often that when he is faced with a point where a lie would actually help he doesn't know what to do.
