About this listen

An apocalyptic LitRPG adventure featuring an intelligent MC, a unique power system, alchemy, and more!

Survive a hellish forest. Master a rare class. Conquer the System.

When Mira’s home is destroyed by gods, she makes two requests to the System that sends her to another world: to be sent to an isolated forest where she can avoid the violent path to godhood, and to gain magic that helps her live and thrive in the forest.

She is granted both, though in the harshest way possible.

The System strands her in a dangerous forest where half the plants are poisonous, the rivers teem with souls, and even the smallest beasts lay waste to experienced adventurers.

To survive such perilous conditions, she uses her modern knowledge of botany and chemistry to create clever traps and weapons, all while learning powerful magic and combat skills alongside her fiercely loyal cat.

Nobody believes she stands a chance. But in a world where the system rewards those who overcome dangerous challenges, the forest is a gold mine.

And while most people would give up, Mira realizes something that surprises her...

She enjoys it.

Experience the start of this unique spin on Apocalyptic LitRPG Adventures. Botanists who choose to get teleported into dangerous jungles are very rare and if Mira can survive, she may just become indispensable to the System itself.

Best cat ever! No sas, just love! Love the concept and can’t wait for a second book to see where this series is going. All in all a great start to a LitRPG.

I liked the unique class. It did feel like things were going out of their way to make the class OP. The MC and her family are interesting and I want to see more of them. I also want to see worlds collide with the secondary MC. But those are for future books. The plot of the book was well contained while leaving plenty for the future. The narrator did a great job.

Surprisingly good

I am a horticulture buff and love plants and flowers and thought this would be cool

it is different and it does honor the plant world in LitRpg style with a few minor caveats. Repetitive naming and numbering of various scaling benefits and skills etc can be very annoying.

I will buy the next book in the series though.

I like plants

This series feels very fresh. Love the quirky personalities that feel distinct from each others and a detailed environment. Story was heart warming and a lesson on perseverance. Can’t wait for the next one.

Great Beginnings!

Unique magic story with growth and progression without pages of useless stats. MC grows and faces challenges with set up for more advancement and story growth without being over powered, lucking into just the right thing to get out of a impossible situation, no harems, and no pointless profanity trying to build emotions in a story without enough character development to make you care. So yes I liked this story for as much of what it is as I like it for what it isn’t just to many adults trapped writing like they are still teenage hormone jobless children trying to write the life they wished for into existence which lacks entertainment value.

Great unique story

Almost stopped listening to the book after the first couple chapters. It was difficult to listen to what seems to me like an unrealistic family dynamic and relationship. Then it was difficult to listen to the MC constantly getting into trouble while panicking the entire time, surviving only through blind luck and her overpowered house cat. I can understand that it's realistic to panic in that kind of situation, but the complaining and whining wasn't very enjoyable to listen to.

Once I finally got past the initial mad scramble, the book was enjoyable to the point that I found it difficult to put down and just wanted to keep listening. I expect the next one in the series will be a lot better and I look forward to it.

Difficult start to a good book

This was a fun little novel. Fun and likable characters, in an interesting world. I've met plant people like the main character and the author nailed that energy. I think it also explores the theme of the millennial dilemma of doing what you love vs doing what's practical very well (especially for those of us who fell into the postgraduate procrastination trap). It's woven throughout without being hamfisted.

It did feel like an extended prologue in places (albeit a good prologue). And there were places where it would have benefited from a more careful text editor's eye but nothing egregious. (just a few places where an "I" should have been an "it" and the like). All in all I still give it a solid 4.5/5 rounded up because it's a debut.

Great debut!

Somewhat a slow burn but it pulls you in. Like how the story is told and Reba is amazing as the narrator. Can't wait for the next one.
