The Left lost touch, and the Right merely pretends. Yet, a truly populist movement could prevail.

If you have not heard the history of the grandfather of the author of The Three Musketeers, I highly recommend you remedy this injustice by listening to Tom Reiss' account of General Thomas-Alexandre Dumas' life compiled from original sources which took place during the French Revolution. The author goes into great detail and does not gloss over touchy or taboo aspects inevitably encountered when researching a life lived a quarter of a millennium removed from today.

Considering the magnitude of the problem, any book with "some answers" is a must-read for every self-respecting seeker of the truth. The book is far more encompassing than America's division over Trump, but that division colors multiple aspects within —not because this division is unique but because it exemplifies High Conflict.

Nothing new is presented and expecting omnivores to abdicate animal flesh is nieve. How about we treat them better and go from there?

It is Christian apologetics. The author is unhappy that JC and apologists such as himself are given short shrift by Dawkins and Dennett. Save your money unless you are a Christian pretending to seek the truth.

An excellent book that will likely make you angry if you often wonder how laws that don't reflect the majority opinions of Americans get passed anyway. The author presents his arguments with historical evidence from slavery to 2024. Unfortunately, those who need this book most, Trump supporters, won't read it.

Pure fiction with a lot of name-dropping where evidence should be. Worst of all, the author promotes unabashed dishonesty. This type of book is what screenwriters picture on the bookshelves of their misogynistic characters. Fortunately, the author never rises above the vague leaving readers nothing actionable. You don't want this book on your bookshelf even if you don't read it.

If such conversations are available elsewhere I would do there as I did here -- I'd immediately pay the entrance fee.
