About this listen

When raised to the level of art, seduction, an indirect and subtle form of power, has toppled empires, won elections, and enslaved great minds. The Art of Seduction synthesizes the legacies of civilization's greatest seducers - from Cleopatra to JFK - with the philosophies of important intellectuals on the subject, including everyone from Freud to Kierkegaard and Ovid to Casanova, and the classic literature of seduction. Robert Greene identifies the rules of a timeless, amoral game and explores how to cast a spell, break down resistance, and, ultimately, compel a target to surrender. The Art of Seduction is an indispensable primer on the essence of one of history's greatest weapons and the ultimate form of power.

The best book I purchased here

Great book. Lots of phsychology on sexes and their relationship. Explains pretty good why nice guys finish last. While it would be too much for me personally to use ALL rules and instructions in this book, but I can definitely use many of them. Also it definately helped me understand the other people's actions and my reaction to them much better. I would say the book is much more useful for guys rather than women. Guys, read it.

Addictively Awesome!

I've been listening to this book non-stop! Many ideas correspond with ideas in other seduction programs. It made me realize what I need to do and what direction I need to shift. It could give more tangible examples like the other seduction programs. But it still is inspirational and practical!

Almost too condensed

This is my 3rd Robert Greene book (after Mastery and Strategies of War) but my first abridged version. While the other two were a bit too long, the multiple examples for each concept allowed me to occasionally "tune out" but still get the gist of it. In this version, it's so condensed that I probably missed at least a few of the concepts because there weren't enough repetitious examples to really hammer each one into my brain. The grass is always greener I suppose.

Meh.

Moderately interesting theories and psychological insights. Seems quite unnatural (complicated) and scheming to follow the advice of this seemingly opinion-driven book.
