How do you write characters that I fall in love with so quickly?
Reviewed: 11-11-19
This audiobook it’s packed full of character development. If you’re looking for a fiction story that really developed the characters and makes you empathic towards them, this series has multiple stories about young kids in their development.
Fantastic story, and well worth your time to listen to. Thank you very much Abbie.

Story
Seven years after the events in Hunters Unlucky, Sauny is leading her own small herd of ferryshaft with Valla as her second in command. When a creasia from Treace's old clutter carries away a live foal, Sauny and Valla chase after him through the arid wastes and slot canyons of the southern mountains. Their task seems relatively straightforward. However, dark secrets lurk in those hills, and the price of rescuing one foal may be higher than anyone imagined.

An interesting short story about love and hard decisions

This is interesting story about a kidnapped young person. I really enjoyed the way the author includes character development and complex relationship dynamics about major life decisions as a side story during the course of trying to get out of a tough spot.

This is a surprisingly pleasant collection of stories for young children. 8+ I would liken this set of stories to the writings of Neil Gaiman.
Cleaver, witty characters who’s bond of friendship sees them through their journeys.
I recommend this as a car ride audiobook or to children for bedtime listening.

However, she did not expect Lord Azrael to “feed” her to his pet incubus on her first day at work. She’s shocked that the incubus - a shape-shifting panther - can take the form of a man. She’s shocked that they have an audience. She’s even more shocked that she likes it. When the show is over, Jessica is sent off to new adventures, but she can’t stop thinking about him.

This was my first adventure into erotic fantasy. It was lovely.
I did not know what to expect, and I ended up loving the intrigue and the plot twists as much as the sex scenes.

What a riveting tale of adventure, intrigue and politics. This book takes place as two distinct stories, yet they weave together perfectly.
The first part is suspended in the air in a flying ship, the second a political jostle for power.
I did not see it coming, and now I can't wait to see where it ends...

In this collection of short stories from the world of Panamindorah, Silveo meets Basil, Silas meets Percy, Anaroo meets Gwain, Gus meets Silas, and Gerard prepares to meet Thessalyn. Dakar and Theseus are tiny children, caught up in the machinations of others; Glossy makes impossibly difficult decisions for herself and her child; and Marlie struggles with the ghosts of her past and present. All of them will find their places in the world, often far from where they started. For the moment, however, they are doing everything for the first time.

A warm set of short stories of some "old friends"
Reviewed: 05-11-16
Would you listen to Secret Things again? Why?
I have listened to this set of stories several times, and once again today. This is a set of stories from The Guild of the Cowry Catchers series. If you are a fan of the series, it is like hanging out with friends and talking about their histories. Even reliving it through the sounds and music.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Secret Things?
One of the characters is blind. listening from her point of view, you feel equally encumbered. It is a neat sensation that you don't get much in a book. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Which character – as performed by Abigail Hilton – was your favorite?
Probably Gwain was my favorite in this collection, with his booky antics and his curiosity of learning... It was nice to relive his memories from his journal writings.
If you could rename Secret Things, what would you call it?
Perhaps "Learning the Secrets About Wyverns"
