The story left a lot to be desired, especially compared to many other of today's big sci-fi and fantasy names. For having won so many awards, I was a bit let down by the story of Ancillary Justice.

The narrator really takes away from the quality of the audiobook, as many others have said. She doesn't really have the ability to do different voices, distinguishing between speakers, etc.

Was hoping for more from this book. It felt half finished. Character motivations are all over the place. Jason is a Mary Sue. There are moments that are really great, but overall it's really inconsistent writing and story. The performance is great, but the story is 2 stars at best. Would recommend other LitRPGs, such as Shadeslinger, for those wanting a better story.

Kyle Kirrin delivers again in the third book. If you enjoyed books one and two, I can strongly recommend you continue. Good story, good mechanics, good characterization.

Travis Baldtree does a phenomenal job with the narration.

Absolutely worth your credit.

The second book delivers on what the first promises! Continued strong plot, likable characters, and an awesome narration. Looking forward to book #3!

Highly recommend for those who enjoy other fantasy titles (Cosmere, WOT, etc.) The book feels like Ready Player One meets Dungeons and Dragons with very well written characters. The first few chapters feel a bit clunky, but ride it out and you'll love the book!

Better than Artemis, but it's not The Martian

Narration was great! However, the story has some notable flaws that are hard to overlook. If The Martian is an A+ and Artemis is a C, Project Hail Mary is a solid B.

An absolute pleasure to read. The story is complex and thought provoking but never seems to stall. Great mixture of world building, battle, philosophy, character development and excitement.

Great story. Great narration. I almost rolled my eyes at one point, but turns out even I'd been had...I love when authors can do that. A+ read.

Overall, Greaney continues to offer writing that is up to the quality of Tom Clancy's. Honestly represents the characters and current events.

I gave the story 4/5 because the last hour and a half of the book got a little....idk....not realistic and didn't fit with choices characters would have made. Scott Brick gives a great performance.
