About this listen

The manhunt has officially begun.

Now the target of a game-wide Holy War, Ned is forced to flee the Onyx Sands.

The odds are stacked against him; Tyrann has tens of thousands of followers, a religion that’s spreading like wildfire, and a powerful god that will be stepping into the world of EBO in a matter of days.

Meanwhile, Ned’s allies are a squirrel-exploding bard, a repurposed home security system who takes her instructions far too literally, and a wildly unreliable talking axe named Frank.

But even as the inevitable conflict draws closer, change is coming to EBO. An old power is stirring, bringing with it strange new enemies, fearsome challenges, and rewards that every player will be vying to obtain.

There will be blood.

Not enough for Frank, but a very substantial amount.

Amazing Sequel

Anyone who read the first book should be super excited to see that book two is available. I am no exception. Kyle Kirrin is an amazing author who tells amazing stories, not just a hack looking to cash in on the large number of people who are hungry for this genre. You will laugh, cry, cringe, and yearn along with his characters for sure. I don’t think I have ever read a book with so many fist pumps and genuine belly laughs. His world is believable, the world-building is amazing, and Frank is... Well, he's Frank, and Frank is awesome.

One of the best LITrpg

The sequel keeps lives up to the high standards of Shadeslinger. The Ripple System looks like a shining example of LITrpg that tell stories beyond the wish fulfillment standard in the genre.

I can't stop listening to it!!

One of the absolute BEST LITRPG's OF ALL TIME!!! The characters are interesting with lots of personality, the plot flows effortlessly and the world is immersive. I rarely ever write reviews but this one is worth it. I feel like when I listen to this series that I am right there in the game grinding levels, getting gear and going on raids right along side the characters. Unlike other LITRPG's, this one focuses on the story, the world and the characters without all the repetitive stat babble that other ones from this genre. As the second book in this series, Kyle Kirrin has done it again by making a truly spectacular book! Check it out, I highly recommend.

Doubly Great!

Story and Narration are great. Picks up right where book 1 ended. Doesn’t miss a beat. Haven’t finished it yet but loving it so far.

Solid Book 2.

I'm reallying enjoying this series. Looking forward to the next adventure and the changes it brings to the world. The characters and the bonds they are forming are my favorite thing.

Travis nails the narration, but that's no surprise. I like his other work too.

I do have two small, very small, critiques.
1. The banter between House, Frank, and Ned can get a little repetitive. House doesn't understand, Frank mocks her, Ned plays peace keeper. It doesn't happen a lot and the scenes are short. I just wish they'd have more complex interaction.
2. Ned's reluctance to let others take risks shows his lack of leadership. And that's totally fine. It's Book 2, not 20. But I hope he starts to trust his people more in the future and we don't continue to get the "No! It's too dangerous for you to come along. I'll do it myself." attitude.

This series now the sets the bar for Litrpg books

Frank....in the being of book one I didn't like him, then he wears you down with being totally epic. I love that the author doesn't pad the book with stat reading all the time. There is some but it is in moderation. Most books do not describe how dungeons groups work, let alone raids. This book does along with world bosses and pvp raids. The main character is a little OP but he isn't a God. I would expect his class to be better than most of the ppl he is with do to Frank pointing him in the right direction so it makes sense.

All in all, this series is amazing. I will be waiting for book 3 and hope it goes for a long time
