Great narrator. Really enjoyed the story and cast of characters. Beatrice is a strong and compassionate character. Love the humor throughout. Not maudlin and not overly explicit.

I am 60. I have background and mental health and nursing and pediatrics, as well as all subjects “nursing” and nursing education. I have also been a victim of abuse, but my abuse was obviously blatant and easily identifiable. Until this book, I just couldn’t grasp truly, how abuse works, and the lives of young people. Not truly. You can only know what I mean by reading this intense, real, fascinating, page turner. I hope everyone reads this book. It will change you. It will empower you like no other story to teach our kids to draw lines with grown ups and what is appropriate behavior. It will give you insights that need to occur in this modern day—if not now, when? I hope people read it or listen to it. It is an important journey to take in its entirety. Don’t skip a page. Don’t skip a word.

Story
Maria Bamford is a creative genius. But the process of creating is not something that “comes easily” or “is enjoyable” for her. So, over the years, she’s invented a number of helpful techniques for tricking, shaming, coercing herself into doing things. You Are (A Comedy) Special is 15-step comedic send up of a self help guide that examines Maria’s approach to stand-up in a hilarious fashion.

Story
It is November 25, 1960, and the bodies of three beautiful, convent-educated sisters have been found near their wrecked Jeep at the bottom of a 150-foot cliff on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. El Caribe, the official newspaper, reports their deaths as an accident. It does not mention that a fourth sister lives. Nor does it explain that the sisters were among the leading opponents of General Raphael Leonidas Trujillo's dictatorship.

I will never forget this story or these women. I don’t think I have ever read a book that has left such a deep impression. Very worthwhile listen.

All of London is abuzz over the imminent arrival of Wulfric Bedwyn, the reclusive, cold-as-ice Duke of Bewcastle, at the most glittering social event of the season. Some whisper of a tragic love affair. Others say he is so aloof and passionless that not even the greatest beauty could capture his attention. But on this dazzling afternoon, one woman did catch the duke's eye - and she was the only female in the room who wasn't even trying.

Story
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.
