Very Average

The narrator is misscast. Arwin is supposed to be 25, sure, he is a jaded veteran, but this guy makes Arwin and Lidia sound like they should be expecting their first grandchild. This also means that the supporting characters are not as quirky and likable as they needed to be to carry this book. The supporting cast is very important to the plot, and I believe my enjoyment of the book suffered because of the narrator.
The story is okay; in my opinion it is not worth a credit.

Story
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Too much Bob?
Reviewed: 11-26-24
This is another solid entry to the Bobiverse Series. There are the same staples we’ve enjoyed before; new species, new breakthroughs, new mysteries, new questions. At this point though, I found myself rather tired of hearing Bob Johansson’s perspective on everything as he is firmly coming across as a close minded individual (and collective) at this point. Because of this I am not sure if I found this book less enjoyable because of over exposure to the character or if the novelty of each new development is waning.
It is still more of the same Bobiverse, so if you enjoy the previous ones you should definitely listen to this one. I took away one star from the story because I was not hooked while reading, and I took away another one because I found it increasingly annoying to hear everything going on from the Bobs’ pov to the point I was loosing enjoyment. Three stars for a solid book. The narration is just as good as it’s always been.

Story
Miss Mildred Percy is a spinster. She does not dance, she has long stopped dreaming, and she certainly does not have adventures. That is, until her great uncle has the audacity to leave her an inheritance, one that includes a dragon’s egg. The egg—as eggs are wont to do—decides to hatch, and Miss Mildred Percy is suddenly thrust out of the role of “spinster and general wallflower” and into the unprecedented position of “spinster and keeper of dragons.” But England has not seen a dragon since…well, ever.

Lighthearted Cozy Slice of Life
Reviewed: 09-23-24
This book was a pleasant cozy read. I would compare it to Jane Eyre in era and setting, though it is far less dramatic. The dragon in this story brings change to the protagonist’s life, otherwise I would describe it as a slice-of-life story in the way that the story is mostly normal people going about life as normal as they can with a secrete pet dragon. In a similar way it can be compared to the anime series Spy X Family, as in both one enjoys the characters living pleasant normal life and hearing their inner struggles although there are extraordinary situations that move the story along.
Throughout the book are descriptions of various foods and baked sweets. This has a major impact on the feeling of coziness in the story. Additionally, the main struggle of this story is the protagonist confronting her regret at leading a life half lived, because of a lack of courage and an overbearing sister. A considerable amount of the book is dedicated to her inner struggle, add in all the food mentioned and the charming tangents on writing structure, and you end up with this charming, cozy, lighthearted, slice-of-life story about finding the courage to live your life.

Story
DisneyWar is an enthralling tale of one of America's most powerful media and entertainment companies, the people who control it, and those trying to overthrow them. It tells a story that - in its sudden twists, vivid, larger-than-life characters, and thrilling climax - might itself have been the subject of a Disney classic - except that it's all true.

The narrator mispronounces many words, noticeably harassment.
The book is otherwise informative, and interesting, but the corporate politics gets very tedious.

An instant best seller that is poised to become a classic, Moonwalking with Einstein recounts Joshua Foer's yearlong quest to improve his memory under the tutelage of top "mental athletes". He draws on cutting-edge research, a surprising cultural history of remembering, and venerable tricks of the mentalist's trade to transform our understanding of human memory. From the United States Memory Championship to deep within the author's own mind, this is an electrifying work of journalism that reminds us that, in every way that matters, we are the sum of our memories.

First, I had to take one star away from the story for having the lockdown. I have enough of it in every other aspect of my life and don’t need it in my books. One other star becomes it wasn’t at that level. Otherwise the book is a drama with an intense climax. Fairly good as much as far as these previously included originals go. I would not recommend spending money or credits on it, maybe read it if it’s included in plus.

Good enough

This book is not as enchanting as the main series, but it is still captivating in some instances. Many reviews say that the narrator is the worst they had heard and I wish I could join them for I would only have listened to extraordinary narrators beforehand. As it is, the narrator is quite acceptable, and in my opinion only sounds worse because there is so much singing in this book. His pace is steady, his voice is not annoying, and he does not make any characters sound retarded (unlike the one for the hunger games with Peta).
I would not call it a masterpiece, but it is a pretty good audiobook overall.

A worthy read
Reviewed: 06-24-20
I can describe the 2020 June selection as half of the options pushing a progressive agenda and the other half as not being worthwhile for different reasons. This book was relatively free from agendas besides the princess/queen has something to prove. Overall that is not a moral problem and not a reason I’d suggest to skip this book for. My biggest problem would be with the narration style, as it alternates between three narrators each of which tells the story from the perspective of a different character. I find that it was not handled as well as it could have been however it is still acceptable. The story is predictable but I don’t think anyone would start it without thinking otherwise. I would overall say that it is an enjoyable read, though not extraordinary.
