About this listen

The number one best-selling series that Audible listeners call “wonderfully entertaining”, “packed with humor, geek references and thought-provoking storylines”, and performed by “a true master story teller and actor” returns as the Bobs face their deadliest challenge yet.

The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all.

But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy. Sure, it could settle the Fermi Paradox for good (and what Bob doesn’t want to solve a mystery of the universe?). But it also reveals a threat to the galaxy greater than anything the Bobs could have imagined.

Just another average day in the Bobiverse.

The feeling of discovering that your favorite new listen is actually the start of a series is euphoric. That you can immediately hit play and re-enter a beloved new world, or love story, or era from history is a gift to the devoted listener. But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. From YA to horror to historical fiction, from fresh voices to seminal tales, hours of discovery await.

By far my favorite sci-fi series

It’s only been out for 14 hours and I’ve already finished the book. Book 5 is just as good, if not better, than the first 4 installments.

Please Dennis, don’t make us wait another four years for book 6.

Constant humor buried in a griping story.

I love this series because it explores the issue with people, be they biological or "Bobs". This book as a little harder to follow because of multiple story lines jumping back and forth but definitely worth the listen.

Thankfully there are no otters jumping into the river

I was somewhat nervous about this book as I couldn’t handle one more otter jumping into Heaven’s River. The book started out strong and then threw a fake that made me start to get Heaven’s River vibes. Thankfully it was a faint and the introduction of new beings. The book ends strong but in what I’ve learned to expect from modern science-fiction, that being it simply sets up the next book.

Glad I listened. It’s my second favorite book on the series.

the big one is **SORTA SPOILER** . . .

it ends on not necessarily a cliffhanger but throws up a ton more loose ends. Super stoked at the very probable Bobiverse 6
Otherwise, definitely feels like a return to form, the Bob's have a ton on their to do lists again

subplot overload

Far too many individual story lines happening in this book. Only a few of them are connected to moving the main overarching plotline. Not even sure what the main plotline even is anymore really. Great writing and everything still felt compelling just a bit chaotic to me. Also would ve nice if Bridget was wrong sometimes or not always so combative and opinionated. We get it she is a strong boss gal who doesn't really need a man. Do we need anymore pandering to this anymore? Also if your going to bring in an over the top religious or political antagonist give them more background. The new faith opposition just felt like a cardboard cutout insert here bad guy. This book kind of felt like all his notes on where he wanted to take the next book and instead just made a book based on all of it just to get to the cliffhanger for the next book.
