it was also unnecessarily long, angsty, and overdone. It was basically the same formula as the previous books but the characters and story were less compelling. Definitely my least favorite of the series and I don't know if I'll read another. Overly complicated and unbelievable story by several measures. People end marriages all the time and this wasn't really adultery since the couple had been separated for years. I wish the author had more respect for readers' intelligence. Give us the smut and a mature relationship that we can root for. I skipped the last 10 chapters because I was so exhausted of the same dilemma playing over and over.

I hated the FMC. DNF'd several times. Its clear that this was written by a different author. It felt very soap opera-ey. Non-stop crying. Just a train wreck. I loved Xander and didn't understand what he saw in her. There were some real cringe moments.

This was my favorite story in the series. I smiled the whole time! My only complaint is the female narrator. Erin Mallon has a lovely voice but her cadence and intonation is so unnatural that I was distracted and annoyed listening to her.

This was a nice story but I found the FMC to be quite frustrating and sad. imagine being so emotionally stunted that you waste 12 years of your life. The story was more angsty than I like. Great narration!

I wasn't familiar with all the social media hype before picking this up so it was a really great surprise. This was among the very best stories I've heard this year. Top notch narration. Loved it!

I wish this was a dual narrator story. The narrator's accents were so terrible that it detracted from the story! The latter 1/2 -2/3 of the story was good but I almost quit this story several times because it dragged on so bad in the first 1/2. My biggest pet peeve is that the author created two hockey player characters from places where hockey is nonexistent - New Orleans and Scotland - effectively proving she knew nothing about hockey. It irked me.

Should have been one book, but split into two drawn out books with too much filler. Very angsty, toxic relationship. Unlikeable FMC & MMC. Too much fighting and not enough love to be considered a love story. I didn't choose a romance book so I could sit through non-stop arguments. It was exhausting. Storyline had a lot of holes. The supporting characters were very one dimensional. This was a story of two emotionally immature, dysfunctional people who can't get out of their own way. There's zero chance I'm going to pay for book 2 and waste hours more time on this messed up couple.

This was a cute low-angst story with great characters. No complaints about the story. It's classic Lauren Blakely. However, I really hate the narrator Erin Mallon. Her cadence and intonation is so unnatural, it constantly distracts from the story. I will avoid stories involving her from now on. I love Connor Crais and felt he did a great job as always.
