You know that 25 year old virgin? The one who makes everything sexual and always steers the conversations to something perverted. yeah, that guy wrote this book. Don't believe me? give it a try.

The narrating is so awful. I made it 20 hours in, and I can't take it anymore. The story is weak, and the characters are hollow. The character arc is so obvious it might as well be in bold.

I'm not sure which book came first. Each series is so identical I imagine them at different points of the same world.
Overpowered dungeon starter area. Check.
Extreme sense of responsibility. Check.
Rot/Decay powers. check.
Nexus coins. Check.
Inheritance skills. Check.
Origin fruits. Check.
Starter towns. Check.
Starter town with imps and monkys. Check.
Meditation/Cultivation. Check.
Alot of books have similar aspects, I understand that. However if you take the time to compare the two you can find way more similarities then I listed. These two series have more in common than not.
Except this main characters decision making is so flawed it hurts, it actually hurts. The author seems leary to delve deeper into Randidly's darker side. It might be character arc, or maybe he's scared of reader backlash for the disregard of life. Still worth a read if you're bored. My current 3 star rating is 10 hours into book 1. It might change if the MC decides to quit with the self righteousness that plagues He Who Fights With Monsters.

My favorite LitRPG series yet!

The writing is lacking variety with many phrases used so many times you can almost expect them, but the story is exactly what I was looking for in a litrpg. The story grows with the character becoming more complex and diverse as chapters fly by. A good read for any true gamer or lover of litrpg.

Book 1 and 2 were very well written and gave alot of promise to the series. book 3 had ALOT of lazy writing which made it a weak addition and hard to finish. Book 4 leaks small political ideals of the writer I tend to hate in books. Small subtleties meant to make characters more complex with more depth, instead it makes them all seem too similar. Don't get me started on how the women in the books interact. There are only 2 personalities for female characters. Sophie, Anna, and Erica read so much alike you couldn't tell them apart with out the ending dialog.

Not much depth or character ARC. MC always does the correct thing when and where is needed with cartoonish accuracy, makes for a boring read.

Not much exciting every happens, lazy writing plagues this book. I was hoping for a medieval action packed novel and recieved a delicate love story that bored me to death for 20 hours. Performance was great but, I couldn't get over the slow pace and flat climax of each book.

The series continues to repeat itself with small changes. The two MC's get less and less of the spotlight. If you are someone who attaches to a MC like myself then this book may not be for you. Alot of white room scenes in the book describing very little of the world and characters. Author takes reducing data dumps to the extreme.

A new take on the genre that works very well. The world building isn't too in depth but just enough to keep you interested. Two solid main characters with great development. Off to read the second!
