About this listen

Randidly Ghosthound felt lost and alone even before the System transformed the Earth. Before every person had to deal with the sudden presence of levels, skills, monsters, and the very real possibility of death....

Due to unusual circumstances, Randidly starts in an isolated dungeon far beyond his level, forced to rely on the mysterious Traveler Shal in order to learn and survive with the dangerous new status quo for his world.

But survive he does, only to leave the dungeon and discover that while he experienced several hellish months in the dungeon, only half a day passed on Earth. Randidly's capabilities are now more than enough to help build a small enclave of survivors, but that doesn't mean balancing his sense of responsibility against the plots of an unfriendly town will be easy.

And although he doesn’t know it, he needs to prepare. Because the System has sent down a tribulation, which waits in the shadows and monitors his every move....

Not gonna go into too much detail so I don’t spoil it, suffice it to say that this series is a must have for fans of LitRPG. First the cons: the reading of stats/skills gets long winded as the character progresses. I think somewhere in book 2 I started fast forwarding through that and it was 3 minutes or so of just reading the stats/skills and happens several times during all 3 books. That is the only thing negative I have about this series and I have listened to all 3 books.

The pros: great work building and plot. It’s a bit different take on it and quite possibly comparable to glen cook line of work. For fantasy fans IYKYK right? Hopefully that didn’t spoil too much.

Simply amazing

I will say it started out a little tough to listen to. for several chapters the first ones, there was only one person there the main character yet every sentence the narrator repeated his name. it was seriously annoying for the first hour or two. I almost stopped listening, but I'm glad I didn't. it was annoying but it turned out to be an awesome book I'm pretty excited about the next one:-)

Great 👍 Listen

Pros: a lot of character growth, cool skills, great personalities, good writing, great narration.

Neutral: The MC is a little OP in most situations, but not because it was gifted, he worked for his status. I don't mind this, but you might.

Cons: Some characters get left behind that I would have liked to see more of.

A Well Paced, Quirky, Unique, Believable LITRPG

There are few books I have enjoyed as much as this, the characters are fantastic, the world development is killer and I lost sleep because of reading and listening to this book. If you like crunchy litrpg, this will be right up your alley.

One of my top favs

Solid litrpg. The whole ghosthound being a legend thing was a bit annoying. This is a brooding loner socially awkward mc type litrpg that really didn't catch my attention until several hours in.

Whispers the ghosthound.

This is a very good book for a person new to LITRPG.

The story has alot of potential. Although the MC is somewhat overpowered I was not upset about it. The story can get redundant with the long list of Stats the MC has but again for a newbie it is fine.

The MC is definitely a work in progress but I didn't find him to be an idiot just a little dull on personal interactions. The world building was adequate and not too overwhelming. The plot lines are wide open at this point but they are not sloppy.

I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a new a different growth and leveling system. it is well thought out and easy to grasp while being somewhat original.

Overall it's worth the credit.

The title and cover art is very misleading

Great LitRPG, character development, and balanced archetypes. Plus the length of the book leaves you satisfied. Looking forward to the next one in the series.

Deserving of five stars.

I wasn't sure I was going to like a story with a title "Randidly Ghosthound", but I was willing to give it a try. I'm glad I did because Next to Dungeon Crawler Carl I think this book was great. My main thing was many of these books try to suck you in and go of on a tangent later because of some stupid idea the author was trying to convey. I just want a good story. I don't need political correctness in LitRPG. Stay with your theme and get it over with don't leave me down the road of Woke or some other idea that the author feels the reader must believe in. If I wanted to watch propaganda I'd watch MSNBC. Reading fictions means enjoying a book. This book was enjoyable because the main character is very flawed and I just didn't understand why. But the author stayed with it and you get to find out why later. It only sounded nonsensical in book one, but as you read he exposes the story slowly and it makes more sense. I enjoy that kind of book since at least he doesn't go on a tangent that means nothing. Buy it you won't go wrong well worth your credit and You'll go why did I read so much of that other garbage that tries to be LitRPG but fail miserably.

Keep with it
