I couldn't believe how horrible the narration was! Especially the Second story!! This must have been earlier in their carriers, they were both off with the narrating cadence and the inflection of their voices. He much more than she. Sometimes it was painful listening to them! Again,Especially Ezra! I wanted to pull the words out of his mouth! it was like listening to a 2ND grader learning to read out loud! I am pleased that I didn't have to pay for this- it would definitely have been returned!

It’s easy to be yourself when who and what you are is in vogue. But growing up Black and gay in America has never been easy. Before Billy Porter was slaying red carpets and giving an iconic performance in the celebrated TV show Pose; before he was the Tony Award-winning star of Broadway’s Kinky Boots; and before he was an acclaimed recording artist, actor, playwright, and all-around diva, Porter was a young boy who didn’t fit in.

Story
Billy Todd has always been different. Most people called him odd, and those were the nice people. Though he was born with a learning disability, Billy's parents never allowed him to consider himself disabled. Raised to be self-sufficient, Billy might not be as smart as some, but he was a lot smarter than people realized.

A Let Down - For Me!
Reviewed: 01-31-22
I I lost my spark for this series with the direction Malachi was taken, so disappointing and stereotypical- in my opinion. I was hoping it would remain uplifting, this ending of the situation did nothing to mollify or change my opinion. I also found the ending to be infuriating and unrealistic- in my opinion. I have and have read-and enjoyed practically every book that she's written but this series really let me down .

The story was well written-and told. The subject matter was difficult to hear, since each incident could have happened. I believe the inhumanity of the times,as well as how many closely related tragedies now, gave me a spiritual malaise.
