Story

Story
In Rethinking Narcissism listeners will learn that there's far more to narcissism than its reductive invective would imply. The truth is that narcissists (all of us) fall on a spectrum somewhere between utter selflessness on the one side and arrogance and grandiosity on the other. A healthy middle exhibits a strong sense of self.

Very general, touches only the surface
Reviewed: 10-11-18
I felt very disappointed. The book is very broad. In the end, people with specific needs, like for example having a narcissistic spouse will feel like there is still a lot to discover and they will not find it in this book. NPD test and real cases from the therapies are good ideas, but in the end, it was all too little.

Good book, but you won't get much help out of it
Reviewed: 08-23-18
This is a very good book from a scientific point of view. It gives plenty of facts and observations based on years of study. These facts take up to 90% of the book. The author describes what is happening and why and she is often very right, plenty of it I could apply to myself. Nevertheless for those who seek solutions, tips and answers to "ok, I know it, now please tell me what should I do" it's a bit too little.

Organized according to common challenges and conflicts, this book is an essential emergency first-aid manual of communication strategies, including a chapter that addresses the special needs of children with sensory processing and autism spectrum disorders.

My husband went away for a month-long business trip leaving me with our very energetic 3-year daughter while I'm pregnant. I was tired, frustrated and miserable. I discovered I was running away from my daughter instead of enjoying time together. This book is hilarious, made me laugh so many times. It's realistic, the author presents great knowledge of human nature and real-life situations. I spent the whole night listening to it and taking notes and I'm very eager to put them into action tomorrow. Thank you!

List the hottest buzzwords in business today and "analytics" is bound to come out near the top. But to most people, analytics implies complex tools and technical experts manipulating massive amounts and varieties of information (i.e.,"Big Data"). But complex Big Data analytics isn't the only game in town. And many people don't realize that a business doesn't need data scientists and complex tools to derive useful information and valuable benefits from any amount of raw data.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Great book for anybody who wishes to improve analytical skills at work. It revelled a lot of terms and techniques I know I will explore further.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Behind Every Good Decision?
Real life examples of analysis techniques.
Who do you think would benefit most from listening to Behind Every Good Decision?
Product owners, product managers, growth managers, business owners
Any additional comments?
Unfortunately the script of this is book is not adjusted for an audiobook. What is book is a subtitle here is just read as a one phrase making it difficult to understand the context. It is not a listen while jogging position and needs focus and deep understanding I would recommend going for a paper/ ebook version.
