The beautiful mundane life of a professor. This book has been written so beautifully and brought me to tears on more than one occasion. It’s not often you can feel so hard for a character and this book definitely did for me.

I did enjoy this book although it does go through the classic themes of high school romance and falling for your best friend.

This story brought me to tears in so many ways and so many times. It was absolutely breathtakingly magical. True definition of love, friendship, troubles, family and fame. And never failed to catch me off guard over and over again. I loved it so much I bought the physical copy too and can’t wait to read it over and over again and recommend it to everyone who will listen.

Story
A middle-aged man returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. He is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock. Forty years earlier, a man committed suicide in a stolen car at this farm at the end of the road. Like a fuse on a firework, his death lit a touchpaper and resonated in unimaginable ways. The darkness was unleashed, something scary and thoroughly incomprehensible to a little boy. And Lettie - magical, comforting, wise beyond her years - promised to protect him, no matter what.

Loved it!

This book was recommended to me and I had no idea what it was about until I started reading/ listening to it. It continued to amaze me and I enjoyed every minute of it. It touched topics of the innocence of childhood and experiences and how it all gets forgotten and that at the end of it, ‘adults are all children in the inside’. It was so well written at the perspective of a 7 year old child, that brought me back to when I was little. Highly recommend!

Over the course of one summer, four customers visit the café in the hopes of making that journey. But time travel isn’t so simple, and there are rules that must be followed. Most important, the trip can last only as long as it takes for the coffee to get cold.

Loved so much I bought the rest of the series and preordered the 5th! Beautifully written and narrated with very touching separation stories and interactions with very powerful messages attached which can apply to many in their own personal lives. I’ve recommended this book and bought hard copies for my friends too.

She’s finally come out as bisexual, is making friends with the other queers in her dorm, and has just about recovered from her disastrous first queer “situationship.” She is cautiously optimistic that her life is about to begin.

The Bookworm Box is proud to present Two More Days, our second anthology installment. Much like the first installment, Two More Days is an exciting and unique listening experience with contributions from several of our charity's featured authors. Each author was given the same first sentence. Where they took that sentence was completely up to them.

This book is a compilation of short stories. Most of them I liked, some of them I didn’t really care too much for. Some of them I played a few times over because I loved them so much, such as ‘breaking the rules’. It’s a long listen but it was fun to have a story a day and not knowing what you’ll get. Totally worth it.
