The Sheep Dragon is a collection of 14 short stories set before, during, and after the first four parts of The Unconventional Heroes series. Each story addresses questions of world-shaking importance like: Is it possible for a young dragon to watch over a flock of sheep without those sheep ending up in his stomach? What do necromancers actually do at necromancer conventions? And what is the best way to deal with a surprise demonic invasion?

What a great combination of fantasy, wittiness, humor, & magic. Narrator did a great job on the characters. I really enjoyed all of the characters!! This was a great lighthearted listen. I finished the whole series! :)

Story
To earn a pardon and avoid prison or execution, Timmy, Grand Necromancer and Lord of Black Tower Castle, has been completing missions for the Council with the help of an elite team of truly heroic individuals. There’s Katie, his apprentice. She’s brilliant, cunning, and maniacally devious. She’s also 10 years old, extremely adorable, and loves billowy robes and the color pink. There’s Avraniel, the pyromaniac elf who is responsible for more property damage than anyone in Everton’s history (including dragons, natural disasters, and demon gods).

Story
Timothy Walter Bolton - better known as Timmy - has spent most of his life as a necromancer. When he isn't terrorising his enemies, he's plotting inside his castle, which is built on top of lightless chasms filled with nameless horrors and beings of a generally malevolent and megalomaniacal nature. But after one of his latest creations, a zombie hydra-dragon-bear, tries to eat him, he decides that maybe it's time to find a new, less dangerous, career.

Yet even though their hideout in Peré Lachaise cemetery is bursting with francs, Céleste cannot rest. There is always more to take. I absolutely loved this audio book. Fantastic story & amazing narration. I’d love to see this made into a 3D movie!! I so so hope there’s a second book coming out. Only thing I wasn’t fond of was the French at times. Not the narrator. She was excellent. Just that at times the foreign French words didn’t always compute for me. When I first heard the narrator I went, whaaat?? But she was perfect for this book & brought it to life. A must listen if you like this genre.

Story
We are in a small room with the vampire, face to face, as he speaks--as he pours out the hypnotic, shocking, moving, and erotically charged confessions of his first two hundred years as one of the living dead. . . He speaks quietly, plainly, even gently . . . carrying us back to the night when he departed human existence as heir--young, romantic, cultivated--to a great Louisiana plantation, and was inducted by the radiant and sinister Lestat into the other, the "endless," life....

I think this needs to be re recorded for an update. He did an excellent job tho. At the end I found it hard to distinguish who was talking at times. I also found the ending a bit blah. Like a rushed wrap up. This is my first “read” of this book via listening on audible. This is one of my favorite movies. I just finished watching AMC’s 2 seasons of IWTV. (Loved it) Made me desperately want to read the book that started it all. This just fell a bit flat for me. Hence my thoughts of a re record to make this more vibrant. Maybe I would’ve been better off reading it in print. I’m now apprehensive of moving to listen to the next book when I desire to read the whole series.

Eva Kavinsky wakes in a dark cellar, with no memory of how she got here. Imprisoned with her, seemingly at random, are four men. The only way out is the trapdoor in the ceiling – and it's locked. The single clue about what brings them all here is a cryptic message sprayed onto one wall. Connect the dots. Repent. A camera fixed high above reach is livestreaming this whole nightmare to the world. What confessions are they meant to make to their unseen audience?

This was free & sounded interesting. I stuck it out bc I listened to the first book. Not a big fan of it all the way around. I do think it was a bit better than the first. Narrators voice grew on me but I’m still not a fan of Eva or her voice.
