This book is a lot of fun to read. Without spoiling anything it’s a story about a noble blooded girl and a blacksmiths son. They’ve been chosen to ride a dragon together. They of course have trouble in trying to relate. Not only boy/ girl but rank as well. The relationship between the two make the beginning of the book fun. The remains are just as entertaining but they work out their differences by chap. 12. Have fun!

Story
Young wizards coming of age in a time of war... Will they be ready? Eynon was excited to leave his village and set off on his wander year. He’d turned sixteen today, and hoped for at least a few adventures. At high noon, he arrived a crossroads and saw a shimmer of silver in the mud. It was a thin and dirty oval, about the size of his palm. He washed it with squirts of water from his goatskin, then marveled at what was revealed.

I would have given this book an overall five star rating if it and ended in a cliffhanger like it. The book is very well written and performed admirably by the narrator I think you could not ask for anything more and a fantasy novel. I hated to only give it four stars for the story because the story is very very entertaining.

I’m not very good at giving reviews. But if you like Gay themed books that are funny, very wittily written and a great read. Then this book is for you. I don’t usually like these kind of books because a lot of times they have something I dislike. A very effeminate narrator, or writing with tired cliches like “ You go girl”, or “ Snap” etc. There’s nothing wrong with this kind of writing of course. It’s just not me. But this was written and narrated fantastically. The narrator was superb, using feminine voice when it was called for, but was able to use many different inflections for different characters. All I can really say is try it. There’s enough sex to keep those of you who like a steamy romp happy. While keeping the great story going and not getting bogged down. A SUPERB READ. I can’t wait for the next book.

What a good book.....

Would you listen to Secondborn again? Why?
I'm not used to plain modern day Sci Fi / Fantasy,but...... I was intrigued by the short summary of this book and decided to give it a try. I was inno way disappointed. The plot line is new and original. The action is mostly fast paced. The suspense is palpable. Bravo!!!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Secondborn?
The end is very surprising.
Which scene was your favorite?
Again I would say the ending. Although as with most books I TrueType enjoy,I wanted it to go on and on....
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Hard to say. I'm not much of a movie buff..
Any additional comments?
Exceptional story and narration.

Reviewed: 07-14-17
What made the experience of listening to Sufficiently Advanced Magic the most enjoyable?
The book is very well written. But more important the story is completely original. I love fantasy books but have come to expect basically the same story, just different names and places. This book, while being a little like that, has a completely original story line. I am very impressed. I can't wait to continue the adventure.....
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sara. She is a complete mystery to me.
Which character – as performed by Nick Podehl – was your favorite?
Can't really say. They all were very good.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laugh. It was not really funny, but made me smile.

Apprentice Swordceror, the first volume of the Blademage Saga, is a debut novel that tells the story of a young man trapped between the separate and incompatible worlds of Wizards and Warriors. The main character, Kevon, is easily identified with, possessing the raw talent we all wish we had, and the naiveté we hope we lack. His journey through betrayal, love, loss, and personal growth is accentuated by the friends and allies that he comes to surround himself with.
