Story
Deep down here by the dark water lived old Gollum, a small slimy creature. I don’t know where he came from, nor who or what he was. He was Gollum—as dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face. He had a little boat, and he rowed about quite quietly on the lake; for lake it was, wide and deep and deadly cold.

Beautiful voice. My littles (4 and 7 years old) would ask to listen to “The Book” at bedtime. My 7 year old really loved his “Gollum”.

This really sucked. It was choppy, missed the beginning of words, and mispronounced a lot of words. Good story, but this AI/virtual voice did it a real disservice.

Story
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

Kept my interest and wanting more in the end. I’ve read/listened to all 9 books of the Outlander series, and this holds right up with them. Worth it!

Wow! This was an amazing book! So much information, and beautifully broken down. Starting off as with the literal beginning, and going through all of life, space, genetics, religion etc.

Actually funny!!

Too many books in the “comedy” genera fall short of this category. This book was actually funny. Even when talking about serious and dark moments, it put a smile on my face and made me chuckle. Also love the absolute honesty and Vulnerability of the author throughout the entire book. After experiencing a year like 2020, this book was very therapeutic, and help me realize that nobody’s perfect, and we’re all just trying to figure this [life] out.

Story
In Dad is Fat, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who’s best known for his legendary riffs on Hot Pockets, bacon, manatees, and McDonald's, expresses all the joys and horrors of life with five young children - everything from cousins ("celebrities for little kids") to toddlers’ communication skills ("they always sound like they have traveled by horseback for hours to deliver important news"), to the eating habits of four-year-olds ("there is no difference between a four-year-old eating a taco and throwing a taco on the floor").

Very funny and entertaining
Reviewed: 08-03-18
Gaffigan does a wonderful job walking through the different stages of parenthood, even pre-parenthood. He is able to keep his comedy clean without comprising any of the jokes.
The only downside was there were a few points where it seemed like he was winded or tired, and instead of stopping, he powered through it.
I recommend this to everyone. You don't need to be a parent to enjoy this book.

What a beautiful way to celebrate all of our differences. I hope everyone shares this book, maybe teach some adults how to accept people for who they are.
I love how my kids recognized the voice of “Marlon Bundo” as “Oh” from the movie, Home.
