Story
The last thing Jonathan "Tilly" Tillman remembers is the thunderous crack of a flame-engulfed building collapsing as he tried to save a little girl . . . Until a system administrator offers him a new life on Nephesh, the realm where ideals, myths, and legends clash endlessly for supremacy in the hearts of men. Carrying all the trauma and regrets of his decades-long career as a first responder, Tilly must start from scratch—without a tutorial—in a system-governed universe. To make matters worse, on day one he finds himself facing off against a cosmic force bent on corrupting the entire realm.

A solid book. The world isn’t quite what I was expecting it to be and seems like a lot of different story plots were shoved together. Just my opinion though, otherwise a good listen.

The guards say there are no children in the Moonstone Mines, a place walked only by men condemned to slavery and death. An unyielding curse ensures none can depart its dark depths. And yet, a child named Red awakens in the mines with no memory. Haunted by enigmatic dreams, he melds with the slaves, enthralled by tales of the world above. He learns how to cultivate and hunt the deadly monsters that infest the mines, but escape remains an impossibility. Until escape is the only option left.

Interesting take on a cultivation world
Reviewed: 08-14-24
To start how the MC and how everyone reacts to the MC is all over the place. So some characters treat him like a 10 year old while others are just psychotic. As far as I could tell having red hair wasn’t like a curse or anything but some people that are supposed to be at least a bit strong see him as a murder hobo or something. Something else is people will just look at him and call him talentless without even touching him or testing him and with the current power scale in the story he seems to be doing alright. As this is the first book and considering it’s a cultivation novel I will need to see more to judge anything.

Story
Randold, better known as Rand, was no ordinary individual. Despite his best efforts, he possessed an extraordinary secret—he was a Super. Well, technically speaking, he belonged to that exceptional group, but he concealed his true nature from the world. For Rand possessed a remarkable ability to manipulate all forms of energy, even the Superpowers of others, a power that, if discovered, would undoubtedly land him in dire trouble with the government. The consequences ranged from imprisonment to something far worse.

Good story, fun to listen to. MC is a little bit of a hypocrite as he complains about collateral damage but keeps deciding he doesn’t have time to use the door.

I’m not sure why this was getting way more hate then deserved. Some of the reviews were way off base but I do agree the MC was isolated a bit too long. At lot of this feels to be build up and structure for the story but it was an enjoyable listen. There are a lot worse ones out there so ignore the haters

Story
For 130 years, Kreig Wiedermann has fought: first, as a teenage recruit for the Holy Order; then, as a soldier for the Empire; and most recently, as an immortal godlike warrior devoted only to avenging himself. The lust of combat is all he knows—until a portal opens on the battlefield and brings him back to the world from which he came. Despite the decades Kreig has survived in the Otherworld, only ten short years have passed on Earth, which means the life he considered lost forever might still be waiting for him. But rejoining humankind won’t be easy.

Wasn’t expecting that
Reviewed: 08-15-22
First off, if you are expecting a lot of action this is not the tale for you. That being said it’s a very well written story of a op Mc that comes home after a long time, to begin a mostly normal life and re-integrating back into society. The author created quite an interesting world so it’s a shame he wraps it up all up and only explores a small sliver of it. It would be great if there would to be more books added to the world but at least for these characters it’s seems like a one and done. I found part two to be a little boring but part three makes up for it so keep listening. Thanks for the story!

Story
Angus Bjornson only ever wanted to do one thing: to continue crafting exquisite weapons and pieces of armor for his loyal customers. Unfortunately, after one accident too many that leaves the old blacksmith completely disabled, it would seem he has no other choice but to hang up his hammer. However, that would be underestimating the stubbornness of the self-made man.

Enjoyed most of the story. The ending part was a bit weak. As someone who works in IT, it feels like such a big company would have a much better infrastructure. I don’t see the company going very far before they start getting sued every day. But this is a story so it can do what it wants

When he get the staff everyone says he must have such a strong will to use it but every time you think he has finally grown up a little he goes back to be a whiny bitch with unreasonable hatred towards a certain character. This could be so good but the Mc just sucks
