About this listen

Gods. Devils. Men. Red will surpass them all.

The guards say there are no children in the Moonstone Mines, a place walked only by men condemned to slavery and death. An unyielding curse ensures none can depart its dark depths.

And yet, a child named Red awakens in the mines with no memory. Haunted by enigmatic dreams, he melds with the slaves, enthralled by tales of the world above. He learns how to cultivate and hunt the deadly monsters that infest the mines, but escape remains an impossibility.

Until escape is the only option left.

However, the path to freedom is steeped in peril. With the weight of the curse and a growing demonic corruption within, Red's pursuit of strength isn't just a desire—it's a desperate necessity. He must rise to unimaginable heights, outpacing the curse's deadly grasp and taming the demonic power before it consumes him.

Accompany Red as he grows from a mere slave into a man who will forever change the world around him. Gods, devils, and even darker adversaries rise to challenge his ascent to the pinnacle of power.

Only by mastering the dark forces that threaten to overtake him can he truly be free.

It is a very good audiobook with a great premise and storyline, but the author leans or is more propped up upon extra AI generated conversations that are meaningless between people in their world without adding any substance. It is merely just a filler in between the next action sequence. I really do like the book, bought the second one too.
As many times as Allen has said “what next?!?” Is about to make me gag.
Using a program to fill 3-4 hours of content without meaning through “and then they went, and now realizing , they said!” There is no need for such. Only using it to make the book longer. Author your better than that, narrow down your story and I don’t believe there would be a fan of any similar genre that could keep from bingeing every hour of you idea for the series.
Actions, consequences, events. That’s what keeps the page turning.
Excessive meaninglessness conversations leads to fans abandoning a good idea for a series.
Trim it down and believe In yourself.
It is good/great enough.
The Point of each scene, get to it, don’t milk it like… well whatever is milked.

Focus on MC and not speeding through but…

I couldn’t put this down. The mysterious child had me wondering and thinking about his backstory. The environment he lives in is so curious. I don’t know about you, review reader. But I read/listen to a lot of books, to the point I can figure out most plots and angles rather quickly. This book had me guessing and really made me feel like I was walking beside the main character as he figured out how to survive.

-The main character is not an idiot, He is written with all of his backstory in mind, he doesn’t know things a child shouldn’t or use term he wouldn’t know,
It’s refreshing to have an author stick to a characters backstory, handicap and personality. 10/10

-Story is progressive with hidden plot twist and character development this story is fast paced in the beginning half away it slows down, but keep reading/listening it’s worth it and picks back up with action and mystery. 9/10

-Environment and world building is good, leaving room for growth or just enough to keep the plot moving forward, From the perspective of a child learning with limited knowledge, so it makes sense 6/10

-Performance 10/10, honestly the best part about the voice acting was that I didn’t even notice it at times, the immersion and fluidity was just amazing.

Well written, mystery and full tilt action

I have to say with a name like nameless I did not have high hopes but I am so glad I was not disappointed from beginning to end it is non-stop action and the rise of the underdog. I cannot wait for book two three four and 10!

This was a good start to the series. The author does a great job world building and making characters you can understand why they are the way they are

Even though the author claims that the MC is mature for a 10 year old boy, this doesn't track.
But if you can listen to this book and think of the MC as a young teen, like I did, you should have no problem.
This is a great non-spicy story. I can't remember if there's much, if any, vulgarity.
I'd let my teens listen to it.
The MC is a slave with no memory mining magic rocks and trying to stay alive.
Great writing and narration.
I'm giving this book 7.5 out of 5 stars.

Best first book of Any fantasy/litrpg series I've read and I have read them all. This book was amazing it had great progression and a stable plot. Not a crazy over power Mc. This book is up their with the mark of the fool.

20/10

Nameless Author starts the book with unknown origin for the MC and while there are hints at his origin, the real origin is left unknown at the end of book 1. Even so, the author does an excellent job of dropping suggestive possibilities of the MC destined fate. The 10 year old MC encounters many harrowing encounters with monsters and survives early on through the help of a friendless soldier whose taught skills allow the MC to escape the monster tunnels. The writer does an excellent job of framing the various characters in ways that makes it easy to become invested in them, even though there are a number of them.

This is a cultivation novel but book 1 limits the characters cultivation progression and instead focuses on the his interactions with members of a sect and, in doing so, provides the primary characters back stories in such a way as to make them interesting to the story.

I look forward to the next book in the series and hope for more character progression now that the base characters have been established.

Griffin Puatu's performance was excellent and his ability to create distinctive voices and mannerisms to both genders and children was rewarding.

Saw some good reviews on this book and decided to take a chance. So glad I did! I really enjoyed the story and cultivation elements in this book. The pacing is good and it’s hard to stop listening. The narration is great as well. Now I’m just upset there isn’t a book 2 yet. Can’t wait for the next one!

Such a good find!
