Story
Finally in Krogga, Gregory found himself pulled into the solstice tournament to celebrate Krog. Invited by both the high priest and Council of Krogheim, Gregory and Jenn did their best to show that some magi had honor. While both of them lost to Ragnar Ivarson, the youngest High Champion in Krogga, that’d only set the stage for what the next year was going to be. The weeks after the tournament were a whirlwind of ambassadorial visits and discussions, but eventually, a key meeting took place when Ragnar brought his sister, Verka, to visit the family.

It was ok, too repetetive with the lovey dovey stuff, they say the same things in every chapter, after this many books the authour should understand that we get that the characters love eachother, but repeating everything all the time does not make the characters feel any deeper.

The book was a good ending to the series.
I am however not happy about there being a 40 minute prologue of another book at the end, what makes this prologue worse is that it is for book nr3 in that series. Why would you do that???
It tricks you into thinking that you have 40 more minutes left of the book to enjoy.

Good: Got a new nemesis for the MC.
Bad: the book is 1,5 hours shorter than it says, since it includes "free first chapters drom other book/s"
Absolutely Hate when the book ends 1,5 hours before it says it ends when you buy it.

Story
After facing war, death, unruly gods, and unmitigated evil, Minalan the Spellmonger is forced to return to Farise, the site of his earliest battles, with the simple assignment to conquer the subtropical city-state and expel the pirates that plague the kingdom’s shipping. Tired of warfare, Minalan embarks on a clandestine campaign to do so, assuming an alias and setting up shop in Farise as a mere Practical Adept as cover for his operation. Recruiting a cadre of talented agents to assist, he reluctantly begins the task of infiltrating and observing Farisian society.

Most of the book felt more like a spellmonger slice of life in a new place.
There was no progress on Sevendor or Vanador in this book.
The book however sorta changed the game.
10/10 could not let this go, and can't wait for the next one. But i do hope that we get to see more of Sevendor/Vanador/Castalshar in the next book!

It was a good continuation of the previous book.
The pacing felt about the same.
The world building didn't eeally expand too much, but it set the foundation for a lot of possibilities.
Would 100% recommend reading this book if you liked the previous one!

Story
Keiran, millennia old archmage, has managed to successfully control the reincarnation cycle and retain all of his memories and skills. That’s about the only thing that’s gone right. Mana seems to have all but disappeared, and a cabal of mages from a nearby city have been using the villagers of his new home as a mana farm for their own purposes. How long was Keiran gone? Where did the mana go? Does it have anything to do with the missing moon from the sky or the bizarre loss of the written language from his first life? Why are the best mages on the level of bumbling apprentices?

It did however set a good foundation (hopefully) for the next book/books.

There was over an hour of card stats in one big chunk.
while knowing the partys cards and what they do is nice and all, we didn't really get to hear about them in action so it felt like a needless info dump in the latter half of the book.
It feels like i wasted time on a info dump which i will immediately forget since i'll now have to wait for the next book to come out.
The book felt too short.
I will still buy the next book.

Story
When Alice Verianna went to sleep, she was just another teen from the Denver suburbs. She definitely didn't expect to be transported to a magical alternate dimension, inhabited by monsters and presided over by a mysterious System. Here, people resemble RPG characters and everyone has access to their own status screens. Grappling with the mechanics of the elusive System isn't the only challenge Alice faces. It seems an underground organization known as the Society of Starry Eyes has taken a particular interest in other dimensions.

Savannah was unlike any city Derek had ever been to. For the first time since his arrival in Cydaria, Derek actually met a respectable city lord. Natalie Savannah and the city she ruled were much more than he’d imagined. With this combination, Derek made the decision to put down roots by building a shop from scratch and moving his people in. He was even able to get Silvi the beloved kitchen that she so desired, along with personally meeting Alanah Swan and learning new things about the new system he was thrown into—things that only someone who was truly strong would know.
