Story
Until a chance assignment takes GBI investigator Will Trent to the state penitentiary, and to a prisoner who says he recognizes the MO. The attack looks identical to the one he was accused of eight years earlier. The prisoner’s always insisted that he was innocent, and now he’s sure he has proof. The killer is still out there. As Will digs into both crimes, it becomes clear that he must solve the original case in order to reach the truth

If you have read Karin Slaughter “Will Trent” and “Grant County” series, than you will love this Book. Karin does a brilliant job blending past and current characters, while guiding you on a detailed journey through the story. Story
I was born a fighter. Abandoned by my parents, I spent my life forging my own path - one guided by my fists and paved with pain. Untouchable in the ring, I destroyed everyone who faced me, but that's where my victories ended. Outside the ropes, I repeatedly failed the few people who loved me. Including my best friend, Liv James - the one person I'd die to protect. Even though I didn't deserve her, Liv never stopped believing in me. Never gave up. Never let go. After all, she understood what I'd lost, because she'd lost it too.

Story
I come from a family of fighters. I always thought I'd follow in their shadows, becoming unstoppable in the ring. That changed the day I saved the life of a woman I loved, but could never have. My brother hailed me as a hero, and my reward was a wheelchair. Paralyzed, my life became an inescapable nightmare. Until I met her.

Story
Sound is an abstract concept for most people. We spend our lives blocking out the static in order to focus on what we believe is important. But what if, when the clarity fades into silence, it's the obscure background noise that you would give anything to hold on to?

Bad narrator, failed to pronounce names correctly
Reviewed: 05-26-14
What disappointed you about Forbidden Nights with a Vampire?
The narrator could not pronounce all the foreign names correctly
example Gregori (Greg-gore-i) is NOT pronounced Gregory
She also had a difficult time when she switched from female voices to male voices, in other words all the characters came out sounding like females. This was a bit odd considering some of the characters are Scottish Highland warriors.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
The narrator should have listened to past performances from this same series to get an idea of how to pronounce all the characters names correctly
How could the performance have been better?
The only way to improve this narrator is to replace her.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Forbidden Nights with a Vampire?
I started this series and have enjoyed each book. it grows on one main story and involves characters from book to book. However, it has been difficult to keep my head in this story from book to book since the narrator's keep changing
Any additional comments?
It would be nice if Audible actually read this and realized when they're dealing with a story from a series, the narrator should be cast and kept from book to book to ensure the readers enjoyment

Story
Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood . . . an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?

Story
It bit: New York hotels cost an arm and a leg, and Terri had flown from England to help plan her cousin's wedding. The new in-laws offered lodging. But they were a weird bunch. There was the sometimes chipper, sometimes brooding Lucern, and the wacky stage-actor, Vincent. (She couldn't imagine Broadway casting a hungrier singing-and-dancing Dracula.) And then there was Bastien. Just looking into his eyes, Terri had to admit she was falling for him.

Vampires don't exist...do they? Inez Urso is beginning to have her doubts. Her business associate Thomas Argeneau has some interesting traits, like an allergic reaction to the sun, excellent night vision, and not much of an appetite for food. And to top it all off, he just tried to bite her neck...but maybe that was a sign of passion. If so, she'd be happy to experience more, despite her determination not to mix business with pleasure. He's been waiting forever for a woman like her...

Horrible Narrator
Reviewed: 05-26-10
Please, please keep the same narrator for every book in a series!! It is very difficult for a listener to switch between different narrators. This narrator does not do female character well, especially those with accents. This book had my favorate character of this series in it and I could barely listen to the entire book it was so painful. From now on I will not be ordering any books by this narrator, rather I'll buy the book and read it myself.
